There is indeed a ‘mystery’ connected to Babylon of old, and the mystery is that she has moved about during the tenures of the seven heads (Kingdoms) on the God-opposing Beast, where she (the religious harlot), as a great (religious) city, has worked hand-in-hand with the seven Gentile kingdoms that have ruled throughout history. Hence all the historical cities that have been identified as her!

The latter day ‘Mystery Babylon’ (i.e., the headquarters of Yahweh-opposing religion) rules over the kings of the Middle East (Rev. 17:2); and she ‘sits on many waters’… over a third of the peoples, multitudes, nations and tongues living on earth today (Rev. 17:1, 15). Thus, the ONLY GREAT CITY existing today that fulfils these criteria is MECCA, the capital of Islamic belief, who has multiple ‘harlot’ daughter cities elsewhere! It is God who wants her destroyed (Rev. 17:16‒18), and she will be by the ICONOCLASTS in her SUNNI and SHIA religion who hate modern Mecca, e.g. the Islamic State, Sunni Salafist terrorists who destroyed cultural and religious images in Syria and Iraq 2014‒2017…

Throughout history, Mystery Babylon has persisted in her various formats, disguises and religious cities belonging to the seven kingdoms, where God holds her responsible for the blood of the saints and martyrs, (Rev. 17:6); and in her was found the blood of prophets and saints, and of all who were slain on the earth! (Rev. 18:24)
