The Middle East is as torn up and aflame as we've ever
seen it, and it is getting categorically worse every day.
Now the big players are really involved. Syria is the new
area of worldwide focus the last several years, and Isaiah
17:1 is its future:
"The
burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away
from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous
heap."
Many have written about this verse, including myself:
Looking again at the verse I note the following ...
The total Hebrew numeric value of the verse is 2616 (109
X 24).
The first four words ending with and including the second
mention of Damascus = a total of 1289.
2616 - 1289 = 1327
The Greek total of the last five words = 1327.
Pay attention and go here:
Second verse that has a 1327 valued Greek word in it is
this:
1 Thessalonians 5:3
"For
when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden
destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman
with child and they shall not escape."
Prophetic
verses attract each other.
This
seems to indicate that the much written about "Sudden
Destruction" and the "Destruction of Damascus" are
associated or paired with each other.
I've theorized that they might be the same event, but I
can't say for sure.
Damascus' war-time destruction is happening before our
eyes and we shouldn't be surprised by prophetic developments
there. I heard a radio broadcast today reporting that 50% of
Syria's GDP is currently gone, and it will take an entire
generation to get it back.
