"Donna Danna:  "The Similarities Between The Millenium Temple & New Jerusalem"  Letter"

Hello Donna Danna, John and Doves,

Thank you for your reply to my question about the similarities between the Millennial Temple and New Jerusalem.

You wrote that there were 12 gates in New Jerusalem - named after the 12 tribes - and there were only 3 gates in the Millennial Temple. You noted Ezekiel 40 for your answer for the Millennial Temple.  However, further on in Ezekiel 48, we are told there are 12 gates named after the 12 tribes of Israel.

In Ezekiel 40, we are told about the gates of the wall around the Temple. And the outer and inner courts.  Ezekiel 48 we are told about the city and its gates.  So there are different sets of gates we are told about in Ezekiel...the city gates are named after the tribes of Israel.

Ezekiel 48:31-34 names the twelve gates that are named after the tribes of Israel.

"..the gates of the city will be named after the tribes of Israel.  On the north side there will be three gates:  the gate of Reuben, the gate of Judah, and the gate of Levi.  On the east side...there will be three gates:  the gate of Joseph, the gate of Benjamin and the gate of Dan.  On the south side...there will be three gates:  the gate of Simeon, the gate of Issachar, and the gate of Zebulun.  On the west side...there will be three gates:  the gate of Gad, the gate of Asher, and the gate of Naphtali."

It's just interesting to note these similarities in comparing the Millennial Temple and New Jerusalem - In two separate 'places' in the Millennial reign of Christ.

Maranatha!
