Hello, John and Doves,Gino, imho, one of the reasons (independent of the fact of God's wrath coming upon the world) that the Bride of Christ is being taken out of the world is that our manner of preaching will have expired. What I mean is that it is one thing to preach fire and brimstone, but quite another to have the ability to carry through on your threats, as the two witnesses will. The followers of "gentle Jesus" must yield the way to Old Testament-style preaching, like that of John the Baptist. Therefore, we can't be here for the second half of Daniel's 70th week. That all is a long-winded way of saying that the apostasy is already here. A proud people have elected a proud president. [I'm talking about he who Belches Hubristic Oratory.] Many will not endure sound doctrine, but their pride has invoked God's anger against unrepentant sinners. However, some may be persuaded by one or more events of the Great Tribulation to repent from their evil ways. Who knows? I don't want to be here when the wrath of the Holy Almighty One is poured out on a world that has--by and large--rejected the worship of the Creator, the Living and True God, ADONAI Elohim, who is the Captain of the Hosts of Israel.Baruch HaShem Yeshua Ha Mashiach,Mike C._________________________________________________________________________________Gino (14 March 2012)
"RE: Michael Colunga: FiveDoves: 03.13.12: Is one of these three correct?"
Michael,
Thank you for your letter. I checked out the links that you indicated ( first , second , third , fourth , fifth ). Ron had sent me (I’m on that mailing list of his) the timeline, and had encouraged me to read his paper on the 7 years a while back now. The other three links appear to deal with the identifying of the son of perdition, but I was unable to see where they were dealing with the question of the two things: the falling away (apostasy) & the revealing of the man of sin – particularly on which side of the blessed hope (rapture) those two things happen. However, maybe it is clear, but I perhaps am unable to see it. When you mentioned:
“Also ask Him for patience, for, the way your mind thinks, the road to illumination may be long, indeed”
I guess that the way that I posed the question revealed much about the way my mind thinks. I had no idea that I was like what you indicated – well, I guess we are always the last ones to find out about ourselves. So, if I’m like you said, then perhaps that is why I couldn’t see where the last three links dealt with the question that I posed.
Ron’s paper, also, seemed (to me at least), not to necessarily indicate on which side of the catching away that the apostasy occurs, or on which side of the catching away the revealing of the man of sin occurs.
The timeline, though, looks like it is indicating that the revealing of the man of sin occurs immediately after the catching away, and not before. What I didn’t see still, was whether the apostasy happens before or after the catching away.
Thank you,
Gino
