"RE: Gino--"Five Doves:  Is one of these three correct?""

Hello, John and Doves,

I wish there were a way to answer your questions succinctly.  There is not.

However, it is written,
"If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all [men] liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
"But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed."
James 1:5-6

So, then, Gino, if you desire to know the answer to your question to a heartfelt certainty, then ask God for the wisdom to learn from this site [or any other good Christian site].  Also ask Him for patience, for, the way your mind thinks, the road to illumination may be long, indeed.

However, it is also written,
"So then faith [cometh] by hearing, and hearing by the word of God."
Romans 10:17

By reading scriptures as the Holy Spirit directs, you stand the chance of learning much faster.

To help you in your search for meaningful scriptures, may I suggest prayerfully reading the recent posts of Marilyn Agee, Bruce Warner, Kevin Heckle [some excellent ones are http://www.fivedoves.com/ac/kevinh1212.htm and http://www.fivedoves.com/ac/kevinh1214.htm.], and John Tng [for example, http://www.fivedoves.com/rapture/2008/obama_666_part6.html].

Those three links can also be found on the front page of http://www.fivedoves.com/.  It is important that the Holy Spirit fill your heart with faith and your head with wisdom.  That way, you can always learn new things.

Who knows?  You might get your answer tonight, if you are diligent to pursue your goals.

It is written,
"The secret things belong to the LORD our God, but the things revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may follow all the words of this law."
Deuteronomy 29:29

29 is the number of departure!

"FiveDoves: Is one of these three correct?"

I have general question that I would like to pose to FiveDoves:
I had been told that there are three different views held on II Thessalonians 2:3, by those who believe that the blessed hope will come before the Tribulation:
II Thessalonians 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
Is one of the following views correct, or is there yet a more scriptural view?

1)      Both the falling away and the revealing of the man of sin occur after the blessed hope (rapture) in the tribulation
These say “that day”, points back to line 2
II Thessalonians 2:2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.
That is only referring only to the 2nd Advent at Armageddon,
so that the falling away & the initial revealing of the man of sin
both occur completely within the Tribulation, after the blessed hope

2)      Both the falling away and the revealing of the man of sin occur before the blessed hope, before the tribulation
These say “that day”, points back to line 2, as well
II Thessalonians 2:2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.
And that “the day of Christ” points back to line 1
II Thessalonians 2:1 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,
Which is speaking about the blessed hope,
that he expounded upon in I Thessalonians 4:13-18.
This then would have “the day of Christ” refer to the blessed hope,
so that first there would be the falling away,
then the man of sin revealed,
and then right after that comes the blessed hope,
followed by the seven years of Daniel’s 70th week

3)      The falling away occurs before the blessed hope and the revealing of the man of sin occurs after the blessed hope in the tribulation
The third view, I heard from a graduate of Trinity Baptist, is that line 3 reads as follows:
a.      The “falling away” (apostasy)
b.      The “comma” in the line, represents the blessed hope
c.       Then begins Daniel’s 70th week, when the man of sin is revealed

Thank you,
Gino
