"REPLY TO PATTI C.  -- OUT OF THE GARDEN"

In reply to your 3/16 post at http://www.fivedoves.com/letters/march2012/pattic316-1.htm the word LORD in Genesis 4:1-2 means Yehovah (Jehovah) and not the Serpent according to Strong's Concordance Hebrew word #3068.

Genesis 4:1-2, "And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the LORD.  And she again bare his brother Abel. And Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground."

Also please consider the fact that Satan (the Serpent) is not presently chained up like the sons of God in Genesis 6:1-4, who were fallen angels and who went into the daughters of men and produced the giants.  According to Jude 1:6-7, these fallen angels are chained up in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day as their punishment for going into the daughters of women and producing giants, and Satan is not chained up in the bottomless pit until just prior to the Lord Jesus Christ's 1,000 year reign on earth according to Rev. 20:1-3.  In Job 1:6-7, we see Satan presenting himself at God's throne and going to and fro in the earth, and walking up and down in it.  So why would the Lord leave Satan unchained if he had sex with Eve as you suggested; yet the Lord chained up these other fallen angels, who had sex with the daughters of men, unto the judgment of the great day?

You also stated that "Abel is the keeper of sheep, in that, through his seed line would come the Lamb of God, the true seed of Adam, the Messiah."

Since Abel was killed by his brother Cain, Abel had no seed line so it was Adam's third son Seth who was the seedline of the Messiah.

Genesis 3:4 tells us that the Lord God made coats of skins and clothed Adam and Eve which must mean that the Lord God sacrificed the first animal to clothe Adam and Eve. The Bible doesn't say whether it was a lamb or not.  Also Abel brought the firstlings of his sheep flock as an offering to the Lord and the fat thereof which means that the innocent lamb had to be killed, and Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God that taketh away the sins of the world, would also give His own life and blood as a sacrifice for the sins of the world.  So yes, Abel's sacrifice of the sheep which he presented to the Lord was acceptable to Him, but Cain's offering to the Lord was not acceptable.  Cain's offering was the fruits of the ground from his own labor which was not acceptable just like our own works do not save us from our sin nor are they acceptable to God.  It is the blood of Jesus Christ that cleanseth us from all unrighteousness and sin.

You also stated the following:

"The Bible does not directly tell us what the mark of Cain is. As you can imagine, there are many theories and much debate. If we research further into the story, after the Lord gives Cain the mark, we will see what this mark is. This mark will make Cain stand out, as we will soon find out; it is the very same mark of his descendants. If Cain was not a giant, why would his offspring be? The Lord made Cain a giant, that way no one would dare attack him."

Where in the Bible does it say that Cain's descendants were giants? What are the names of Cain's descendants that are giants?   If the Serpent (Satan) had really had sex with Eve as you suggested, wouldn't have Cain been a giant to begin with which is what happened when the other fallen angels went into the daughters of men and produced giants?  I personally don't believe that the Lord made Cain a giant nor was that the mark that was put upon Cain.  The Bible doesn't say what the mark was, but I would assume it would have been visible where everyone could see it and not hidden under his clothes.

As to whether Cain married one of his sisters or a so called "natural woman" created in the 6th day as you suggested, for all we know, Cain could have taken one of his sisters to the land of Nod with him to become his wife there, and he later had a son with his wife once they arrived there.

So are you saying the Lord created male and female on the 6th day in Genesis 1:26-27 in God's own image, and Adam and Eve were created after the 7th day in Genesis 2:7, 2:21-24?   You stated the following:

"Cain left Eden, and moved out into the world, the world of natural man and natural woman. Cain’s wife is of the 6th day creation. Knowing this, we can see that the seed line of Cain was further corrupted by adding this dimension of mating with natural man. But, since Cain is not of the seed line of Adam, it only makes sense that fallen man would mate with natural man and create an even darker creature, thus continuing the seed line of the Serpent."

Do you want to tell me how Cain as a fallen man mating with what you call "natural man" in the above paragraph (and I am assuming you mean "natural woman" rather than "natural man") would create an even darker creature since God created male and female in God's own image on the 6th day?
