OUT OF THE GARDEN
Hello doves!!(This is the continuing story that takes place after the Temptation. Since we are seeing the very end of the story, in our very lifetimes, it makes it interesting to review the beginnings, and how all it all ties in.)(Twin Brothers of Different Fathers)Before the Lord sends Adam and Eve away from the Garden, he makes them clothes, out of animal skins, to cover their nakedness. It is interesting to note that he clothes their sexual organs, which are now considered to be the shame and blemish on their past state of innocence. It helps to understand that when the Lord speaks of “nakedness” from this point on, he is speaking of shame and blemish. (This will all make more sense when we get into Noah and his shame, and into the Book of Revelation, and the nakedness of the end-time church). It is also interesting to note that Adam and Eve did not have sex together until they were kicked out of the garden. In the beginning of chapter 4 of the Book of Genesis, after the garden, it tells us that;“And Adam knew Eve his wife and she conceived,” and goes on tell of the birth of her two sons. “She bare Cain and said I have gotten a man from the Lord.”The lord she is speaking of is not God, but the Serpent that appeared to her in the likeness of a lord, the upright shining one; the dragon serpent. “And she again bare his brother Abel.” These births are happening at the same time and in order of conception, first the seed of the Serpent, Cain, and then the seed of Adam, Abel. The idea that Cain is the serpent’s seed is further expanded when the Lord tells us that Abel was the keeper of sheep, but Cain was the tiller of the ground. Abel is the keeper of sheep, in that, through his seed line would come the Lamb of God, the true seed of Adam, the Messiah. Cain was cursed with tilling the ground, the same ground, which his father, the Serpent, must crawl on.Thus, Cain becomes the seed that will try and kill Christ, and makes his first attempt at doing so, by killing Abel. Yet, before Cain kills Abel, both sons make an offering to the Lord. This very first offering is foreshadowing the formation of a false religion and a false worship that the seed of the Serpent (Cain) began. This will become the foundation for all false religions throughout mankind’s history, especially when we get into Nimrod, a direct descendant of Cain.
The Bible tells us, in Genesis 4: 3-5, of these offerings: “And in the process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the Lord.”Let’s us look at each verse here. “In the process of time” tells us that this is occurring after the Fall because they are now living outside the Garden, in the realm of time; as before they lived in timelessness, and were eternal. It is also the first time that this word (time) is mentioned in the Bible, which indicates this is where time began. It is also another indication that 6th day mankind also lived in time, as they were flesh and blood.Cain “brought the fruit of the ground” What do we already know, at this point, about how the Lord feels about the ground? He curses it!! He curses Satan to crawl on his belly in it, and for Adam to eat of it and die, and return to it. Cain is offering something manmade to the Creator, because Cain has the Serpent’s mind and thinks like Satan, and is accursed with Satan’s pride.Cain brings what he made of the fruit of the ground that he was cursed to till, and he brings it as “an offering unto the Lord.” In doing thus, Cain actually becomes the father of religion, actually thinking that a man, cursed to the ground, could offer God, the Creator of the Universe, anything! Cain worshipped the created, and not the Creator, and therefore his offering was most offensive to God.Before we hear of God’s rejection of Cain’s offering, we hear of His acceptance of Abel’s. Remember, Cain was first to think that he could give God something that would please Him, by making an offering, in the first place. Abel’s offering is just the opposite of Cain’s.Abel knows God, he is a true son of Adam, and so he knows what will please God because he has a personal relationship with Him. Abel knows that the only thing that would please God is the Gospel, and worshipping in Spirit (by the indwelling of the Holy Spirit) and the Truth, which is God’s Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. Genesis 4:4 continues; “and Abel he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the Lord had respect unto Abel and his offering.” Abel brought the Lord what the Lord had created, but not only that, he brought something created by the Lord’s creation, the fat of the lambs. Neither would be possible if God had not created them. The very fact that Abel brings the first born lambs, proves that he knows the Gospel, and that the Savior, of all mankind, will come from the first born Lamb of God, Jesus. Thus, Abel honors the Creator, the Creator’s creations, the Creator’s plan (the Gospel) and Jesus, all in one offering! These offerings foretell of two paths, one the path of manmade religion, the other the path of the Truth, the Gospel, and a personal relationship with the Creator. That is why God accepts Abel, and his offering, and rejects Cain, and his offering.(Worshipping in Spirit and Truth vs. worshipping in spirit only)We see, by the offerings made by Cain and Abel, that this is a very crucial part of the Genesis story, and how very important it is for us to understand the implications. So much happens in just a few words or verses, that knowing the foundation and the language makes a world of difference in interpretation. It also shows us that God had all this in mind before the foundation of the world, and is passing this knowledge onto man, at the very beginning of man’s creation.
Because Abel was the “good seed” of Adam, he had a personal relationship with God, and the Gospel. Cain, the “bad seed” has a personal relationship to his father, the Serpent, and the mind of his father, the Serpent, and that is why His offering, of the created to the Creator, was rejected. Cain was taking pride in what he created, out of the ground, and not in what God created. This Pride, that caused Satan’s fall and began man’s journey away from God, is shown to us wonderfully when Cain finds out his offering is rejected. Gen. 4:5 tells us; “But onto Cain and to his offering, He (God) had not respect.”Not only did He not respect Cain for thinking of it, but God did not respect the offering itself. God is showing us that pride, and the offerings of pride, to Him, reflect the path of manmade religion, a path to Him that God totally rejects.Cain’s sin of pride is further illustrated in what he does when his offering is rejected; “and Cain was very wroth and his countenance fell”. If Cain did not harbor the sin of pride, why would he be “wroth” (filled with wrath) and his face turned down? He had to be prideful to be so angry and ashamed. At this point, God even tells him that if he seeks to know the Gospel and the Truth, as his brother does, then he, too, can have a personal relationship with Him; “If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted ?”.Then God warns Cain of what will happen to him if he does not; “And if thou does not well sin lieth at the door. And onto thee shall be his desire and thou shall rule over him.” In other words, Cain will be left with only his evil desires and these evil desires shall rule over Cain, just like they did his father the Serpent. It is obvious that Cain did not do well. Instead he let his pride and sinful desires overcome him, just as the Lord told him he would. He let his jealousy toward Abel, and the plan of his father (the Serpent) to kill off the seed of the Messiah, drive him to murder. “And Cain talked with Abel his brother: and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother and slew him.” (Gen. 4:8).For this murder, the Lord curses Cain, and the ground that he will till, and makes him a fugitive and a vagabond on the earth. When Cain realizes that everyone will want to kill him, he pleads with the Lord to help him. God assures Cain that anyone who tries to kill him will be cursed sevenfold, and then gives Cain a mark, that will protect him from being attacked. “And the Lord set a mark upon Cain, least any finding him should kill him.” (Gen. 4:15) What is that mark, and what will it mean?THE MARK OF CAIN(The mighty men of old)The Bible does not directly tell us what the mark of Cain is. As you can imagine, there are many theories and much debate. If we research further into the story, after the Lord gives Cain the mark, we will see what this mark is. This mark will make Cain stand out, as we will soon find out; it is the very same mark of his descendants. If Cain was not a giant, why would his offspring be? The Lord made Cain a giant, that way no one would dare attack him.In making Cain a giant, the Lord gives us a foreshadowing of the giants who will become the offspring of the mating between the Sons of God and the daughters of men. The Book of Genesis goes on to reveal the seed line of Cain, and we will deal with the results of that seed line as we continue, but what happened with the seed line of Adam, now that Abel is dead? You can rest assured that the Lord already had a plan for that.“And Adam knew his wife again; and she bare a son and called his name Seth: for God said she hath appointed me another seed instead of Abel whom Cain slew.” (Gen. 4:25)So, the seed line of Adam is secured in Seth. In Chapter 5, of Genesis, the seed line of Adam is recorded; “And Adam lived an hundred and thirty years, and begat a son in his own likeness, after his image; and called his name Seth.” (Gen. 5:3). Cain is still alive at this point, if he was truly Adam’s son, he would be considered also of Adam’s seed line, but he is not.Cain is never mentioned as being of Adam’s seed line, thus further proof, that Cain was not Adam’s son, but the product of the union between Eve and the Serpent. And, to reinforce this further, God tells us directly that Seth is a son in the likeness of Adam, and in the image of Adam. Why would God tells us this, if Cain was Adam’s son? It would seem that He does so to point out that Cain is not Adam’s son, and that Seth truly is, and also to reveal the pure seed line of Adam, from which Jesus will come. Thus we now have two seed lines, those of Cain’s line, and the Serpent’s seed, which becomes the Cainites; and those of Adam’s seed, through Seth, that become the Sethites. Speaking of Cain’s seed line, one must wonder who Cain’s wife was. Let’s take a look at what the Bible tells us. Keep in mind that at this point, after Cain kills Abel, there are only 3 people alive that have been kicked out of the garden, Adam, Eve, and Cain.Genesis 4:16-17And Cain when out from the presence of the Lord, and dwelt in the land of Nod, on the east of Eden. And Cain knew his wife; and she conceived and bare Enoch.”Who is Cain’s wife? Most Bible scholars tell us that Cain married one of his sisters, but there is no mention of that and besides, Cain is told to leave the area where Adam and Eve are. The problem is solved when one discovers the truth about there being two creations.Cain left Eden, and moved out into the world, the world of natural man and natural woman. Cain’s wife is of the 6th day creation. Knowing this, we can see that the seed line of Cain was further corrupted by adding this dimension of mating with natural man. But, since Cain is not of the seed line of Adam, it only makes sense that fallen man would mate with natural man and create an even darker creature, thus continuing the seed line of the Serpent.############
Tomorrow we will go into the most controversial of all studies about who the sons of God and the daughters of men truly are.
What an awesome God we serve!!!In His love and light may we always stand!!Patti C.
