I
think that the 144,000 who are sealed in
the forehead in Rev. 7:1-12 are the same
144,000 standing on Mt. Sion with Jesus
in Rev. 14:1-5 in heaven since there is
a Jerusalem on Earth and a new Jerusalem
in heaven, a temple in heaven and on
Earth, and an ark of the covenant in
both places, etc.
There
is also another reason why I think the
144,000 are seen in heaven with Jesus
and are taken to heaven sometime during
the great tribulation, and that is
because Jesus is not seen on Earth
during the Great Tribulation until He
returns to Earth after the great
tribulation is over. Matthew 24:15-20
shows us that when the abomination of
desolation is standing in the holy place
(inside the Temple), then those residing
in Judaea are to flee into the
mountains. Then Matthew 24:21-30 says, "For then shall
be great tribulation, such
as was not since the
beginning of
the world to
this time, no, nor
ever shall
be And except those days should
be shortened, there
should no flesh be
saved: but for the elect's
sake those days shall
be shortened. Then if any
man shall
say unto
you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not. For there
shall arise false
Christs, and false
prophets, and shall
shew great signs and wonders; insomuch
that, if it
were possible, they
shall deceive the
very elect. Behold, I
have told you before. Wherefore if they
shall say unto
you, Behold, he
is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret
chambers; believe it not. For as the lightning cometh out
of the
east, and shineth even
unto the
west; so shall also the coming of
the Son of
man be.
For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be
gathered
together.
Immediately after the tribulation of
those days shall
the sun be
darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall
fall from heaven, and the powers of
the heavens shall
be shaken: And then shall
appear the sign of
the Son of
man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of
the earth mourn, and they
shall see the Son of
man coming in the clouds of
heaven with power and great glory."
So
Jesus is not going
to be on Earth at
all during the Great
Tribulation so He
will not be standing
on Mt. Sion on Earth
with the 144,000
during that time
either.
Also
if you reread Rev.
14:1-5 about the
144,000 with Jesus,
the Lamb, in heaven,
it is describing the
Lord's throne in
heaven with the 4
beasts before the
throne and the
elders. Rev. 14:5
also says, "And in their mouth was
found no guile: for they
are without
fault before the throne of
God" which
means they are
before the
throne of God in
heaven.
