What would it
mean if Israel builds their temple
before the blessed hope?
Is that a
possibility?
Why can't
they have their temple before the
antichrist?
Although I don't know the answer to your
first two questions about whether the
temple will be built before the blessed
hope of the Rapture, I do think it will be
built before the Antichrist enters
Jerusalem and the abomination of
desolation is set up in the holy place
because the daily sacrifice has to be
taken away before the abomination of
desolation is set up; and a temple is
needed with the altar for the daily
sacrifice.
Daniel 12:11-13 says, "
And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days. Blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days."
Prior to that, Daniel
11:41-45 shows the Antichrist (Little
Horn) entering the glorious land
(Israel) and also taking over Egypt,
Libya & Ethiopia, and he plants the
tabernacles of his palace between the
seas in the glorious holy mountain
(Mount Zion also known as Mount Moriah)
at which time there is going to be "a time of trouble, such as never was
since there was a nation even to that same
time:" according
to Daniel 12:1.
Also according Matthew
24:15-16 & Mark 13:14 the people of
Judea are told to flee into the
mountains when they see the abomination
of desolation (spoken of by the prophet
Daniel) stand in the holy place (temple)
as it will be a time of great
tribulation such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
(Mat. 24:21, Mark 13:19).
As you know, the problem
with the Jewish temple in Jerusalem
being built on the Temple Mount is that
the Muslims would rise up against them,
and I don't what will have to happen for
the temple to be rebuilt. However, we
never thought the Berlin wall between
East & West Berlin in Germany would
fall and that happened overnight.
