What would it mean if Israel builds their temple before the blessed hope?

Is that a possibility?

Why can't they have their temple before the antichrist?

I guess it's because most believe covenant in Daniel 9:27 absolutely can't possibly mean the same covenant, as used in the other 6 out of the 7 times in Daniel.

Daniel 9:4 And I prayed unto the LORD my God, and made my confession, and said, O Lord, the great and dreadful God, keeping the covenant and mercy to them that love him, and to them that keep his commandments;

Daniel 9:27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

Daniel 11:22 And with the arms of a flood shall they be overflown from before him, and shall be broken; yea, also the prince of the covenant.

Daniel 11:28 Then shall he return into his land with great riches; and his heart shall be against the holy covenant; and he shall do exploits, and return to his own land.

Daniel 11:30 For the ships of Chittim shall come against him: therefore he shall be grieved, and return, and have indignation against the holy covenant: so shall he do; he shall even return, and have intelligence with them that forsake the holy covenant.

Daniel 11:32 And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.

Even though it is the same Hebrew word in each case, and even though in 9:27 it is used in context with the sacrifice and oblation of the covenant, most insist that it can't be the same covenant.

Why would the same Hebrew word, even in the context of the sacrifices of the covenant, suddenly have to mean "a strong military agreement", as is often demanded by most?

So instead of the antichrist, who will be looked to religiously, confirming Israel's covenant involving the sacrifices, he must make a military pact involving those same sacrifices?

But, if covenant in 9:27 means the same as in the other 6 verses, then it may be possible for Israel to have a temple up, and sacrificing, when the antichrist shows up to confirm the covenant.

Since he will be the anti-Messiah, wouldn't he want to be seen as the Messiah confirming the covenant, as it says in 9:27?

Jesus, the true Messiah actually did confirm the covenant, but he was rejected by Israel.

So, an anti-Messiah, trying to get Israel to accept him as their Messiah, may very well try to focus in on the covenant religiously, rather than politically or militarily.
