For several weeks now I have been semi focused on a prophecy of Zechariah 14. This prophecy describes a new valley that will be created by God when God comes to intervene for Israel after Israel is attacked and nearly annihilated. I have found new exciting biblical information about this valley that I believe adds much to that story line.

First lets review that story line in general......

Zechariah states that God will establish a safe haven, a security zone, a protected area for the remnant of Jews escaping the onslaught.... this attack on Israel.

Zechariah says that God creates this safety zone by His stepping on the Mount of Olives. When He does, the mountain will be split from east to west creating a very large valley. Half of the mountain shall move to the north and half shall move toward the south......obviously moving far enough both north and south to create a very large valley. This new valley will also encompass half of the city of Jerusalem. Zechariah 14:4

For those who can't grasp the geography of this new valley, it will start in the city of Jerusalem and then extend in a westward direction for a long distance in length. The width of the valley from north to south in order to make it a very large valley (Zechariah 14:4) will I believe be many miles wide as well.

As scripture indicates...... the Jewish remnant will escape to this place or be taken there to escape being killed. Daniel 12 indicates that only the Jews whose names are “in the book” will be allowed into this new security zone. Daniel 12 also indicates that Michael the Ark Angel and his angels will be tasked for the security of this new vast security compound. As per Revelation 12 this Jewish remnant will be fed and protected there 1260 days or during the complete last half of the 7 year period.

In my other recent posts on 5Doves I portrayed from Zechariah 14:5, and Matthew 24 how the Christian church will also be gathered from heaven and earth by the angels at / during this same time period and taken to this new security zone where they will temporarily reside. Christ's church will be there long enough to be “born again” and long enough for the air space over this protected valley to be secured. When it is secured we will be changed from mortal to immortal and rise to meet Jesus in the clouds above Jerusalem.

OK....now that we have an overview of the story line let me share with you some new exciting biblical passages I found that fit into this story line that I believe will excite you......they excited me!!

First lets go explore a famous classic story of the bible that most all of you will remember.... and that is.... Jacob's ladder.

If you remember that story and text from Genesis 28 it stated that Jacob was fleeing for his life from his brother Esau. Jacob the younger son had through trickery stolen Esau's birthright and his blessing from their father Isaac.

Jacob was fleeing from Beersheba in southern Israel to Haran in Turkey. Let's view the whole passage from Genesis 28.....

10 Now Jacob went out from Beersheba and went toward Haran.

11 So he came to a certain place and stayed there all night, because the sun had set. And he took one of the stones of that place and put it at his head, and he lay down in that place to sleep.

12 Then he dreamed, and behold, a ladder was set up on the earth, and its top reached to heaven; and there the angels of God were ascending and descending on it.

13 And behold, the Lord stood above it and said: "I am the Lord God of Abraham your father and the God of Isaac; the land on which you lie I will give to you and your descendants.

14 Also your descendants shall be as the dust of the earth; you shall spread abroad to the west and the east, to the north and the south; and in you and in your seed all the families of the earth shall be blessed.

15 Behold, I am with you and will keep you wherever you go, and will bring you back to this land; for I will not leave you until I have done what I have spoken to you."

16 Then Jacob awoke from his sleep and said, "Surely the Lord is in this place, and I did not know it."

17 And he was afraid and said, "How awesome is this place! This is none other than the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven!"

18 Then Jacob rose early in the morning, and took the stone that he had put at his head, set it up as a pillar, and poured oil on top of it.

19 And he called the name of that place Bethel; but the name of that city had been Luz previously.

20 Then Jacob made a vow, saying, "If God will be with me, and keep me in this way that I am going, and give me bread to eat and clothing to put on,

21 so that I come back to my father's house in peace, then the Lord shall be my God.

22 And this stone which I have set as a pillar shall be God's house, and of all that You give me I will surely give a tenth to You."

 

Ok... now that you have read and refreshed your memory concerning “Jacob's ladder” it's time to consider this......

Jacob and Esau were brothers, sons of Isaac.

Jacob and his twelve sons would become “the whole house of Israel” or all that would generally comprise the Jewish race today.

Esau and his lineage would become the Edomites who today with some generalization could be called the followers of Allah.

So now lets overlay the “Jacob's ladder” story line from Genesis 28 on top of the Zechariah 14 story line of the new protected valley and all the happenings that will occur there (in the near future) and see what we get.

First we have to establish where Jacob lay his head that night after he traveled north from Beersheba (southern Israel) going a days walk. Jacob named the spot Bethel. Modern researchers believe that site to be the town of Beitin located in what is now the “West Bank” near Ramallah west of Jerusalem. Personally I believe that this “mystery site” was or would b later become the site of modern Jerusalem itself.

Jacob said after he awoke.....”Surely the Lord is in this place......How awesome is this place! This is none other that the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven”!

So this site in or around and to the west of Jerusalem is the site where Jacob maintains there was a ladder going up, an entryway going up to heaven where the angels are free to travel from heaven to earth.

Is there such a ladder or portal there now? Doesn't appear to be

Will there be one in the near future? It definitely appears so....as per Zechariah 14

 

God said in Genesis 28 that this site (where Jacob had laid his head) He (God) would give to Jacob's descendants......”you shall spread abroad to the west and to the east, to the north and to the south....and in you and your seed all the families of the earth shall be blessed......I will bring you back to this land......

Isn't that exactly what Zechariah 14 prophesies? Yes...both Zechariah and Genesis state that an area of land encompassing half of Jerusalem going westward shall be formed and it will be formed by... “spreading abroad to the west and the east, to the north and the south......creating a new large valley and the Jews will be brought to this land.....this area.

Jacob on that very site put a rock marker on the ground sprinkled with oil. He then made a covenant or vow saying.......”If God will be with me, and keep me in this way that I am going, and give me to eat and clothing to put on, so that I come back to my father's house in peace, then the Lord shall be my God. And this stone which I have set as a pillar shall be God's house, and of all that you give me I will surely give a tenth to you”.

So, isn't that statement from Jacob above exactly what is prophesied to happen in Zechariah 14 and Revelation 12 ? Yes!!

God will (as Jacob requested) be with Jacob's descendants, this remnant......for, God will have just intervened on their behalf destroying their enemies as per Ezekiel 38.

God will (as requested by Jacob) provide food and clothing in this new valley for 1260 days until the period of trouble is over....as per Revelation 12

God will (as Jacob requested) provide a situation so that Jacob and his descendants can return in peace.....into a security zone set up special for them.....and..... “all the families of the earth” (reference to Christ's church being brought to the security zone / valley as well.

God will (as requested by Jacob) establish His house in Jerusalem from this point onward.

And Jacob said he would return one tenth to God in his vow.....is the small Jewish remnant that enters the valley and survives the worldwide assault on the Jews reflective of the quantity God protected.....one tenth?? It appears from the contract between He and Jacob that it was or will be.

 

So indeed when one overlays the Genesis 28 story line of “Jacob's ladder” with Zechariah 14 concerning the creation and statistics of the new protected valley they interact perfectly.

It's obvious that this place where Jacob laid his head falls within the parameters of this “to be” new protected valley and all the aspects of Jacob's vow are to be fulfilled just as he had contracted them with God.

It appears that there has always been a portal, an entrance to heaven from this particular area in Israel where our earthly dimension meets the heavenly dimension. [Makes me recall a few years back when that UFO was witnessed hovering over Jerusalem and then rocked upward at an unbelievable speed.]

And this area will greatly expand in the near future as per Zechariah 14 to accommodate not only the remnant Jews but also Christ's church....“all the saints with You” Zechariah 14:5 And the other reference in Genesis 28:14 which I believe also refers to Christ's church “all the families of the earth” or Christian families from all over the earth to be gathered there prior to the resurrection / rapture of the church.

Before I forget....who was Jacob running from when his life was in danger in Genesis 28? Esau his brother. So, the father “to be” of the Jewish race Jacob running from the father “to be” of the followers of Allah....Esau. Isn't that exactly what is to transpire when Israel is attacked in the near future...... fulfilling the prophetic picture established in Genesis 28?!

I said or hinted above that I had found passages (plural) that would backup this story line found in Zechariah 14 concerning this new valley, this new security zone. I did find more, one of which is Psalm 23, the very well know Psalm recited at millions of funerals. I will copy the psalm below and below that I will comment as to why this Psalm is also another view of Zechariah 14 and the story line which is embedded there.

1 A Psalm of David. The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.

2 He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters.

3 He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His name's sake.

4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me

5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over.

6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the Lord Forever.

 

When one reads Zechariah 14 you see a very large new valley created that will accommodate not only the Jewish remnant for 1260 days but also Christ's church for a short period of time. Zechariah says that this valley will also contain a new river flowing with “living waters”. Then it's not a stretch to believe that this new valley.....created by the master creator / designer”....... will be green, lush and very beautiful.

But the reality of the situation “external” to this protected valley will still be the same. A shadow of evil will encompass the perimeter of this valley where the forces of Satan will still occupy......”Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil”......For you are with me, Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.

These words also indicate that God will be present within the sphere of influence of this protection zone. This is also indicated and stated in Isaiah 31:4-5.....”So the Lord of Hosts will come down to fight for Mount Zion and its hill. Like birds flying about, So will the Lord of hosts defend Jerusalem”....

Revelation 12 states twice that the Jewish remnant will be protected and fed in this security zone for 1260 days or the last half of the 7 year period. How does Psalm 23 reference that?.....”You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies (which surround the protected valley they are in).......you anoint my head with oil; my cup runs over......(when your cups runs over the care you are receiving is extremely good)

…...”Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever”......

 

I am sure that anyone can see the story line of Zechariah 14 continue in Psalm 23.Also I believe that the Psalm 23 refers to 2023 and this will be the year when these things happen.

Also as I referenced above Psalm 23 states....”You anoint my head with oil”..Remember the Christian church will be in this valley for a period of time when they are “born again” and while they wait for the air space above this safety zone to be secured. During this baptismal / born again process to be performed there.... are we also anointed with oil? It appears so...

Jacob (anointed) poured oil on a rock in this protected valley as per Genesis and declared this place to be holy or “the place where the Lord is” which begs the question.......was there a double meaning to what Jesus said in Matthew 16......”and upon this rock (this rock, which may have been previously / literally anointed by Jacob) I will build my church”......

Certainly that same rock could literally have been in the same location for Jacob, then Jesus, and then now. Jacob plus 2000 years until Jesus, then Jesus plus 2000 years to the new valley.

 

…...”and upon this rock I will build My church”......

When will be or signal....... “the total completion of the Christian church”?

 

Like building a house, there reaches a point when the last board, the last brick, the last whatever is put in place and we can say......it's complete.

 

Now what if I phrased that verse a little differently.....

…...and upon this rock I will build (completely finish building) my church.......

 

Is that not what is to happen in this new protected valley..... which I wrote about last week? Are not the finishing touches being put on Christ's church there to completely finish the building of the church before it can be taken to heaven?

Yes....it appears from scripture that we Christians are to be bathed in the “living waters” of the new river emanating from Jerusalem which contain the blood and Spirit of Jesus. This will be witnessed and attested to by the two end time witnesses just prior to their deaths.

This in my humble opinion..... will complete the building of Christ's church..... and make it “rapture ready”. Ready to be changed from mortal to immortal in the twinkling of an eye to rise and meet Jesus in the clouds when the air space over Jerusalem has been secured. Secured in two ways....first by Michael and God's angels defeating Satan and his angels as per Revelation 12 driving them out of heaven. And secondly by Jesus rolling up the sky as we know it...... as is described in Revelation 6:14 and Isaiah 34:4. These two actions will neutralize Satan's powers of the air and allow the church to rise safely to meet Jesus in the air.

One more thing I noticed in Psalm 23 which is the last verse which I believe also speaks to the Christian church being present in that new valley. That last verse says.....And I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever......

I believe scripture reflects that Jesus has gone to prepare a place for His church in heaven which in my way of thinking...... is the house of the Lord. So I guess what I am saying is that the voices we hear in Psalm 23 are composed of both the remnant Jews and Christ's church giving praise from this new protected valley.

Remember this new valley is the protection afforded to the remnant Jews for the last half of the tribulation period of 1260 days. The Jews stay on earth and are joined at some point by the huge resurrection of the whole house of Israel.....hundreds of millions of resurrected Jews....as per Ezekiel 37.

Whereas we Christians whence we become “rapture ready”are taken off the earth to a place of safety for the duration of the tribulation period.
