Hello John and Doves,
I just came across this
news article:
"Fatah spokesman:
"We will defend our Al-Aqsa Mosque and our holy sites, and
we will not allow them to violate them...whatever the cost
may be." A filler between programs on official PA TV
taught Palestinian viewers that the most holy site for
Jews - the Western Wall - belongs only to
Muslims. Referring to the wall with its
Muslim name, the Al-Buraq Wall, PA TV explained that it is
an Islamic waqf - an inalienable religious endowment in
Islamic law, and therefore Jews have no rights to
it. Opinion: The previous US
president would have agreed. The progressive left
in the US and EU act like they agree, and the UN will
give it a standing ovation."
There is still much work
to be done on the "Deal of the Century" - many 'carrots'
will be offered to the PA. Will it include the
Temple Mount, the Western Wall?
Abbas said, "We're ready
for a Palestinian state to come next door to the State of
Israel in the 1967 borders, with East
Jerusalem being the capital and West Jerusalem being the
capital of Israel. ...We believe in security...We believe
only in non-violent popular struggle."
So what are the 1967 borders? Before the 1967 War,
Israel did not have the Western Wall or the Temple Mount or
the Old City of Jerusalem. They were under Jordanian
control. The Six Day War in June 1967 "shuffled the
territorial cards completely...
It means Jews would
be able to pray again at the Western Wall after
a hiatus of 19 years".

"White House blocks Palestinians at UN, urges direct
talks on peace plan": After blocking a Palestinian
draft resolution at the UN Security Council rejecting its
Middle East peace plan, the White House is signaling that
it's willing to make changes to the plan if the Palestinians
return to the table...."We are ready to start
negotiations," Abbas told the council, but not on
Trump's terms."

struggle to rally opposition to Trump plan at UN Security
Council - Axios
IF THEY compromise on the peace deal, the final deal
could involve the Western Wall, the Temple Mount and East
Jerusalem for the PA. And then Jews will have lost
their daily prayers at the Wall.
Negotiations are continuing.
Pray for the peace of Jerusalem!
Maranatha!
