This in in response to
your letter about explosions in the sky found here:
I wanted to add something most may not know about that band
or the album. Before I was saved, I was very much into this,
and other, secular bands. There is a story behind the release
of this album which is very interesting.
For one thing, the complete title of the album is "Those
who tell the truth shall die, those who tell the truth shall
live forever."
For another thing, which I cannot confirm myself, the album
was said to be released the day before the 9/11 attacks and in
the liner notes was the message "This plane will crash
tomorrow." A wikipedia page for the album states this is not
true, but that it was released a week before the 9/11 attacks.
Whatever the case may be, the liner notes did indeed say "This
plane will crash tomorrow."
Apparently, the cover art was inspired by a story of
British soldiers (fighting in Belgium in WWI) who saw a bright
light in the sky during a firefight. The felt they were
supernaturally delivered and protected by God from the attack.
The story is known as the "Angel of Mons." This review for the
album states the album was released on 9/10/01 in the UK.
Again, I cannot officially confirm the dates of release for
the album. Here is the review:
