"I had an
intriguing thought. It might
well be possible to label
Iran as Mystery Babylon.
After all, Iran is Islamic and
Shi'ite at that. They yearn
for the Mahdi who they
consider as greater than
Jesus. This could neatly
qualify Iran as Mystery
Babylon. BUT - Iran is not the
most powerful nation in the
world. Iran treats it's own
people like cannon fodder.
They hold on to power via
brute force and they subjugate
women to an underclass below
men. Does Iran ride the
Islamic beast? As does the
western world? The
western world tolerate and
placate the Islamic beast for
various reasons. Oil and money
being the most obvious. Iran
wants to rule the Islamic
beast - not just ride it. And
does Iran consider itself a
queen and untouchable? (As in
the whore of Babylon). I would
say no."
"Like with what Fay
wrote about - maybe Iran is
Mystery Babylon? The AC
sets up his HQ in
Jerusalem. Why not have
Mystery Babylon in the Middle
East?"
MY REPLY: Why
Iran can't be Mystery Babylon is
because Iran is a country, and
not a great city. The
great whore that sitteth upon
many waters in Rev. 17:1 is
described in Rev. 17:18 as, "And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the
earth." Babylon is also called
a "great city" in Rev. 18:10,
18:19 & 18:21.
