Hello John, Fay and
Doves,
John wrote, "Things are
moving so fast we need to fine-tune, discard or rethink our
theology constantly."
This really caught my
attention.
Like with this verse, "Truly
I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all
these things be fulfilled." Matt 24:34 This was
mainstream eschatology for decades!
For decades we've been
taught that 'this generation started in 1948'. With
the 'blooming of the fig tree'. And we've believed
that a generation was 70 or 80 years long and that a 7 year
tribulation had to fit within this timeframe - all the way
to the Second Coming.
First we looked at the 70
year generation - all these things had to be fulfilled by
2018 Well, that's long past. Then we moved
on to the 80 year generation - going year by year for ten
years - all these things had to be fulfilled by 2028.
That doesn't 'fit' with a 7 year tribulation. So we
just move on....and discard what Jesus said?
All the major
eschatology teachers have taught this and used this time
line for years. However, some were uncomfortable
going to the 80 year generation - because they had
taught 70 years for so long. They had immense
trouble 'squaring this away.' Now we've past the
80 year generation for 'all these things to be
fulfilled'.
When 2011 came and went, some tweeked the timeline by
moving 1948 to 1949, some tweeked 2011 to 2012 saying that
2011 didn't actually end until 2012. Then when 2021
came and went, some again tweeked the timeline by moving
1948 to 1949. Or 1950 or 1951. I think we've
made all kinds of 'fixes' trying to make things fit with
what we believe is correct/what we've been taught.
Maybe it's not the start year that's wrong. Maybe
it's not the length of a generation that's wrong.
(Maybe it's the length of the Tribulation period that's
wrong?)
I don't see Watchman
referring to the above verse by Jesus anymore, because
it doesn't fit their 'narrative'. They just ignore
it. Fay has also brought this up. This is a
problem.
This just doesn't 'fit' any
more. So what do we do?
For any here who read my
letters, they know that recently I started writing about a
3.5 year Tribulation period - this length 'fits' with the
1948 start year and the 80 year generation - ending in
2028. And I've given many, many reasons for this
particular length given in The Revelation. (And when
2025 passes with no Rapture, no Tribulation period - I'll be
saying 'now what? too!)
I don't believe we can
discard what Jesus told us. Obviously, we 'got it
wrong'.
This is something that needs
to be 'rethunk'.
And how many other 'set in
stone beliefs' need to be re-examined, re-looked at,
re-studied?
Another example is when
Pentecost is. For me, at least, it's quite obviously
not Shavuot, Feast of Weeks or in May or June. I
believe that's another 'set in stone' fact that is
wrong. Watchmen have been re-looking at that day for a
few years now. Many have moved this to/about Feast of
New Wine.
We've been out of our
comfort zone on some of the long time held eschatology
beliefs for quite a while. Maybe it's time to do what
John said "fine-tune, discard or rethink" what we've
believed. And more has been revealed - we can't stay
with some of the 'narrative' that just doesn't fit any more.
Like with what Fay wrote
about - maybe Iran is Mystery Babylon? The AC sets up
his HQ in Jerusalem. Why not have Mystery Babylon in
the Middle East?
I don't think the Believers
will have everything figured out before the Rapture - but it
sure would help those who go into the Tribulation if we have
a big part of it right. IMO
The Revelation will be their
go-to 'travel' guide. The Bible will be their
'survival guide'. They will, no doubt, be guided as
they read these.
Jesus told us to watch
for Him and He gave us things to watch for. When we
see the things He told us to watch for we will "know He's at
the door."
Our Watchmen are at the gate
and on the walls - intently watching! They know He's
close. They feel something big is coming.
God will show us what He
wants us to know - I believe that.
Maybe there isn't
much left for us to know...the Rapture is that close!!
One day, we will write our
last letter.
Hope Jesus is walking to the
clouds now!
Just some thoughts...
Maranatha!
