In reply to your 3/26 post Reply to Gary B (12 March 2023) armies surrounding Jerusalem (fivedoves.com) in which you believe that the Gog-Magog invasion of Israel (Ezekiel 38-39) happens at the end of the millenium after Satan has been released from the abyss, in my opinion Gog & Magog who compassed the camp of the saints and beloved city in Rev. 20:7-10 happens at a different time than the invasion of Israel by Gog-Magog in Ezekiel 38-39. The Ezekiel 38-39 Gog-Magog invasion happens prior to the millenium and the return of the Lord Jesus Christ while Rev. 20:7-10 Gog & Magog compassing the camp of the saints and the beloved city takes place after the Millenium.
Ezekiel 39 shows the Gog-Magog army falling on the mountains of Israel and then being buried along with their weapons being burned for 7 years. If you read the entire chapter 39, it shows that the heathen shall then know the Lord and the house of Israel shall know the Lord, and the house of Israel will certainly know the Lord during the millenium and not have to wait to know him after the millenium when the 2nd Gog & Magog surrounds the camp of the saints and the beloved city.
Ezekiel 39:7, "So will I make my holy name known in the midst of my people Israel; and I will not let them pollute my holy name any more: and the heathen shall know that I am the LORD, the Holy One in Israel."
Ezekiel 39: 21-22, "And I will set my glory among the heathen, and all the heathen shall see my judgment that I have executed, and my hand that I have laid upon them. So the house of Israel shall know that I am the LORD their God from that day and forward."
Ezekiel 39:25-29, "Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Now will I bring again the captivity of Jacob, and have mercy upon the whole house of Israel, and will be jealous for my holy name; After that they have borne their shame, and all their trespasses whereby they have trespassed against me, when they dwelt safely in their land, and none made them afraid. When I have brought them again from the people, and gathered them out of their enemies' lands, and am sanctified in them in the sight of many nations; Then shall they know that I am the LORD their God, which caused them to be led into captivity among the heathen: but I have gathered them unto their own land, and have left none of them any more there. Neither will I hide my face any more from them: for I have poured out my spirit upon the house of Israel, saith the Lord GOD."
