Job and his wife had no idea about the conversation that the LORD and Satan had.

But then, on a day like every other day, very quickly, and without notice, Job's children, his servants, and all his animals, were killed!

Additionally, the majority of the people in Egypt had no idea about the conversation that Moses and Pharaoh were having.

But then, on a day, that was for them, like every other day, without notice, their waters turned into blood; the river, ponds, pools, in vessels of wood & stone - and it lasted 7 days!

Donna Danna wrote two letters addressing the time intervals between, as well as the total time, of the 10 plagues in Egypt, she made some good points.

Most of the Egyptians probably still didn't realize what was going on, when soon afterwards, countless frogs started coming into their houses.

No doubt they were all probably in a state of shock, and terrified after these two things happened to them, within a short period of time.

After the frogs died, and they piled them up in heaps, no doubt, they would want to know what was going on.

There were no cell phones, internet, tv, or radio, but word must have begun to spread as to, from who, and why, these horrible things were happening to them.

It is likely that not all the Egyptians had Hebrew servants in bondage to them, but the rich and powerful did, and maybe even those of something like a "middle class", may have had them, as well.

However, every Egyptian benefitted to some degree from the overall bondage.

Apparently, in that environment, most, if not all, the Egyptians despised and mistreated the Jews:

Exodus 3:9 Now therefore, behold, the cry of the children of Israel is come unto me: and I have also seen the oppression wherewith the Egyptians oppress them.

So, in their shock and terror, after 7 days of blood, and then frogs, everywhere, they begin to find out that these things are happening to them because of the people they despise.

Then after every Egyptian had lice for a while, and then grievous swarms of flies all around them, they find out that it is the God of the Jews, sending these horrible plagues.

No doubt some Egyptians were beginning to repent, and to fear the LORD, the God of the Jews.

Yet, it may be that a number of Egyptians began to grow angry, then to blame and hate the Jews even more, after each plague.

Though, by the time the Egyptians were in a darkness which could be felt, for 3 days, their fear of the God of the Jews likely began to surpass their hatred of the Jews, and their God.

So, when they heard of the upcoming death of the firstborn in every house, the terror of the LORD no doubt gripped their heart and soul to the very core.

Then each surviving Egyptian was totally broken, and grief stricken, over their firstborn that had died at midnight.

Will there be many on earth, similar to what happened to the Egyptians, who will find themselves suddenly overwhelmed by the seals, trumpets, and vials?

I Thessalonians 5:3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.

Will it happen, like Ron Reese has so often shown, immediately after the believers in Jesus are suddenly taken up from there earth?

How many people, in some countries, will be suddenly removed?  Will it make a significant difference in some places?

Will there be, in some places, a number of doctors, nurses, police, firemen, air traffic controllers, pilots, power & water plant, well as refinery, operators, all suddenly taken up from the earth?

In that critical vacuum of talent, will there be sudden chaos, instead?  Only to be followed by the effects of the seals, trumpets, and vials?

However, unlike Job and his wife, as well as, initially, a number of Egyptian people, who didn't know what was about to hit, the world is now kind of like it was in the days of Noah.

There was a number of years that Noah preached, so the people couldn't claim ignorance, they chose to ignore what they heard was coming.

In a similar way, for about 2,000 years, the world has had a chance to believe what the Bible says about what is coming, but the majority choose to not believe it.

But not unlike those on the day that Noah entered the ark, they will find themselves amidst sudden destruction, with no longer a way of escape.

So now, when looking at the plagues in Egypt, and the effects upon the Egyptians, I can consider, if it may be similar for people suddenly finding themselves in great tribulation.

Ironically, maybe, is that how many people today, despise the Jews, like what is was in Egypt.

In the tribulation, like in Egypt, some may repent, but many will not repent, and a lot will be hardened.

Pharaoh was so hardened, that he and his forces foolishly chased Israel into the Red Sea.

It seems that, in a similar way, the antichrist will attempt to destroy Israel, take Jerusalem, and to fight against the Lion of the tribe of Judah.

But like it was for Pharaoh, it will be a trap.

So, will the distress & fear of those in the tribulation may be a little similar to the distress & fear of the Egyptians?

Exodus 7:19b Take thy rod, and stretch out thine hand upon the waters of Egypt, upon their streams, upon their rivers, and upon their ponds, and upon all their pools of water, that they may become blood; and that there may be blood throughout all the land of Egypt, both in vessels of wood, and in vessels of stone.

  25 And seven days were fulfilled, after that the LORD had smitten the river.

Exodus 8:2b I will smite all thy borders with frogs:

 3b  which shall go up and come into thine house, and into thy bedchamber, and upon thy bed, and into the house of thy servants, and upon thy people, and into thine ovens, and into thy kneadingtroughs:

Exodus 8:17b  and smote the dust of the earth, and it became lice in man, and in beast; all the dust of the land became lice throughout all the land of Egypt.

Exodus 8:21b  I will send swarms of flies upon thee, and upon thy servants, and upon thy people, and into thy houses: and the houses of the Egyptians shall be full of swarms of flies, and also the ground whereon they are.

Exodus 9:6 And the LORD did that thing on the morrow, and all the cattle of Egypt died: but of the cattle of the children of Israel died not one.

Exodus 9:10 And they took ashes of the furnace, and stood before Pharaoh; and Moses sprinkled it up toward heaven; and it became a boil breaking forth with blains upon man, and upon beast.

Exodus 9:24 So there was hail, and fire mingled with the hail, very grievous, such as there was none like it in all the land of Egypt since it became a nation.

Exodus 10:14 And the locusts went up over all the land of Egypt, and rested in all the coasts of Egypt: very grievous were they; before them there were no such locusts as they, neither after them shall be such.

Exodus 10:21 And the LORD said unto Moses, Stretch out thine hand toward heaven, that there may be darkness over the land of Egypt, even darkness which may be felt.

  22 And Moses stretched forth his hand toward heaven; and there was a thick darkness in all the land of Egypt three days:

Exodus 12:29 And it came to pass, that at midnight the LORD smote all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh that sat on his throne unto the firstborn of the captive that was in the dungeon; and all the firstborn of cattle.

  30 And Pharaoh rose up in the night, he, and all his servants, and all the Egyptians; and there was a great cry in Egypt; for there was not a house where there was not one dead.
