The 1st link  gives details of the Abraham Lincoln's condition after 9 months of being in the Middle East.  It really has been a sorry state of affairs - for the crew and the ship itself!

Then we read that the USS Abraham Lincoln stopped off in Thailand on September 2nd, for some much needed R & R.  One of the main attractions is Pattaya Beach - renowned for partying and prostitution. Hardly the healthiest of places!  Read the details in the 2nd link below. I am guessing that the powers-that-be are hoping that the sailors won't be as critical of their extended deployment and vile conditions, once they've all had some 'fun' in Thailand.  Such a cheap, vulgar 'solution' in my opinion.  There's something odd about this news. My Abraham Lincoln dream was so very vivid  - I am surprised it has left the centre of the battle.  Almighty God is in full control, so perhaps we haven't heard the end of the USS Abraham Lincoln.
