"RE: Mike P: 08.31.25: I'm Getting Closer To My Home"

Mike,
I used to love Grand Funk Railroad!
We went and saw them live, in Chicago, in 1971.
Their live performance was far more acid rock style than their release albums were.
But at that time, that is what I really liked.
e.g. the song that I listened to more than any other song in my entire life, was Into The Sun, on their live album.
Not sure what that says about me, but that's what it was.
I have learned to avoid acid rock, as, at least in my case, it tends to draw me back into the kind of thinking that I had before I was saved.
I'm not that strong to able to listen, enjoy, but to not drift back - maybe others can, but I'm not quite able to.
Another e.g. -  I too often catch myself thinking of when the base kicks in, in the song, Into The Sun, and I have to then quickly think of something else.
However, this song that you shared, I'm Getting Closer To My Home, wasn't that way, especially on the album release version, so thank you for sharing this.
