Eero,That certainly was a very compelling letter, connecting things written in Ezekiel, with things at the first and second advent!I really liked your connection with the two angels in the tomb where Jesus had laid until he rose, with the two cherubims on the mercy seat! There was a question you brought up:
My question is, with the above in mind, is it possible that God had His judgement already prepared for His First Coming through the man clothed in linen (possibly Jesus),but chose to send His Son as a humble servant instead to delay His sure Judgement on Jerusalem?
Can the answer be both yes and no?The LORD came, as prophesied, and offered to Israel himself, their promised Messiah, and his kingdom. It wasn't a trick, he did everything perfectly, fulfilling all the prophecies, and all the types and pictures of him, in the law.The offer is real, and what happened to Saul of Tarsus, could have wonderfully happened for the nation at that time. But like Adam in the garden, they were given a choice, and also like Adam, they chose, instead, to sin. However, the LORD didn't go into a plan B after Adam did that, nor after Israel did what they did, he knew what they would do.And he even had a better solution for their sin, than he even had for their obedience:
Revelation 13:8b whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
He planned for the sacrificial death of the incarnated Son of God, to pay for their sin, before he created the world. The future redeemed remnant of Israel will possibly be even far more blessed than had Israel accepted Jesus at his first advent.
