Hi John and Doves,

 

Just as Almighty God used the Adam and Eve story to showcase how it was humanity's choice to know good and evil - so very many don't realise why Israel and the Jewish people are 'Chosen'. They are 'Chosen' as an example to all of us.  The Jewish people were blessed enough to have direct comms with God.  So many miracles were shown to them. But, the significance of those visitations were lost on those people. I won't call them primitive, but those miracles were lost on a people who were living in an age of little information. Whatever happened in those days was intensely dramatic. One drama after another. Much like we are living in now.

 

Israel and the Jewish people are Chosen to set an example to the rest of us. They have suffered greatly, as a result.  I do NOT condone disobedience to God but..... could any of us have done any better? We. who have been saved by Grace and blessed by the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, have an understanding that transcends any human logic.  We have had our spiritual eyes opened. We have been made aware of what we are fighting against. Where our loyalties lie. It's a 'no brainer' for us. We know these things, deep within our souls.  This sets us free to really see God's plan. Israel is the marker. The Jewish people are our barometer.

 

Israel and the Jewish people will be greatly honoured in the millennium of Christ's reign. Does that fact not tell you everything? They have run the toughest race imaginable.

 

Pray hard for the peace of Jerusalem. A peace that only our LORD Jesus return can bring.
