"PRAYER REQUEST FOR MYSELF"

I could use your prayers because I developed an abscess on my upper right gum above a tooth that has a crown on it. I had trouble with the same tooth last August. This year it began to bother me on 7/19 so I kept putting tumeric powder on it which took the dull toothache away. On 7/21 I developed a canker sore above the same tooth which took 1 week to go away, but on 8/23 a hard bump appeared at the same spot that I had a canker sore. I saw my dentist on 8/29, and he told me it was an abscess. Praise Jesus it isn't cancer!  He gave me a prescription for Amoxicillin for 7 days and told me to make an appointment with an oral surgeon whose phone # he gave me. The 1st available appointment is on 10/17. So I called my dentist's office on 9/05 when I had 2 pills left and asked for a refill and asked if the dentist could call the oral surgeon's office to see if he could get me in any sooner. My dentist gave me a prescription for Amoxicillin for 10 days this time, and I will take my last pill this coming Monday morning after I eat my breakfast. My dentist isn't going to call the oral surgeon's office though. It was suggested that I call the oral surgeon's office to see if I can get on a waiting list if someone cancels their appointment. The oral surgeon's office said they don't have a waiting list but would put a note in my file in case they have a cancellation. So it will be another 32 days after I finish my last Amoxicillin pill before the tooth can be pulled.  I told my dentist's office and the oral surgeon's office that the infection could spread into other parts of my body before the tooth is pulled, but that didn't get me an earlier appointment. The medication is not going to take the abscess away as it has to be drained so I am praying that the infection doesn't spread after I am finished with my medication which is why I am asking for your prayers. The abscess is painless and I can chew with the tooth although I did feel some pressure inside the tooth. I remember in the past having a throbbing toothache when I needed a tooth to be pulled, but that didn't happen because this time from what I have read on the internet is that the nerve inside the tooth has died. I greatly appreciate your prayers. I am greatly looking forward to an immortal, pain free body without any type of sickness or infection.

Your sister in Christ,
Donna
