Last Night I Had the Strangest Dream" (also known as "The Strangest Dream") is a song written by American folk singer-songwriter Ed McCurdy in 1950 (background at the link above).   This song has been sung by many artists, including Simon and Garfunkel (in 1964).  Is it prophetic of our times?  Is a (false) peace on the horizon?  The song speaks of a mighty room, filled with men (the United Nations?).  I just wanted to draw attention to this interesting song.     

Last night I had the strangest dream

I dreamed the world had all agreed
To put an end to war

I dreamed I saw a mighty room
The room was filled with men
And the paper they were signing said

A song most of us know.  I have bought very few secular records in my life, but this is an exception:. the Bridge Over Troubled Water (LP).  The world is so very troubled at present and Jesus Christ is the only true and lasting bridge over troubled water!!
