Hello John and Doves,
The other day I was watching
Prophecy Watchers videos on Youtube and came across a video
of Gary Stearman interviewing Ken Johnson. This
interview was about two weeks ago.
Ken has been studying the Hebrew
version of Thessalonians. And he has written a new
book about this.
Many believe there is a pattern
in the Moeds of the Lord. Jesus died on
Passover, was in the tomb on Unleavened Bread, rose of
Firsfruits, etc.
Ken found in the
Hebrew version of 1 Thessalonians 4:15 a reference to the
Moed.
"The Hebrew word "Moedim" refers to
one of the festivals that God instituted for the nation of
Israel: Passover, Unleavened Bread, First Fruits (of
barley), Pentecost, New Wine, New Oil, Trumpets, Atonement,
and Tabernacles. The rituals performed on each of
these festivals teach prophecy."
Here's the King James version of 1
Thess. 4:15: "For this we say unto you by the word of
the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming
of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep."
Here's the Hebrew version:
"For we say this to you by the word of the Lord, that we who
remain alive until the Moed of the Coming of the Lord will
not precede those who sleep."
Ken wrote, "The phrase "The Moed of
His Coming" is used in 1 Thessalonians 4;:15 and in
5:23. If the phrase "Moed of His Coming" is a title,
then that implies that Paul knew it would occur on a
specific festival.
"Paul's Ancient Hebrew Thessalonian Epistles
Proof of a Pre-Trib Rapture" by Ken Johnson, Th.D.
We don't know which festival the
Rapture will occur on - but the Hebrew version above shows
us it will occur on one of the Feasts (Moed) of the Lord.
If we look at the pattern for all
the Moed:
Passover - Jesus was crucified.
Feast of Unleavened Bread - Jesus'
broken body (without sin, unleavened) was in the tomb
Feast of Firstfruits - Jesus was
the firstfruits of the dead - resurrected
Feast of Weeks/Shavuot - Jesus ends
His earthly ministry and ascended to sit on the right hand
of The Father - Ascension Day
Feast of New Wine - Jesus sent His
Spirit - Pentecost
Feast of Oil - Jesus comes in the
clouds for His Believers - Rapture. The parable of the
Ten Virgins is about 'oil' - the Holy Spirit; the 'midnight
cry', the 'shutting of the door'.
Feast of Trumpets - Jesus comes in
the clouds with His heavenly armies - The Second
Coming. Maybe this day will be the start of the
Tribulation period also. Or the Rapture and the start
of the Tribulation period.
Day of Atonement - Jesus opens The
Books - Judgment
Feast of Tabernacles - Jesus was
born on Earth as a human baby - He came to 'tabernacle' with
man. This is the feast we are to go and worship the
Lord in Jerusalem during the Millennium.
On the Chabad 5785/2025 calendar:
Passover through Feast of New Wine
are already passed for this year.
Blood Moon, total lunar eclipse,
over Jerusalem, September 7. Seven day warning for the
Rapture? Begins Sunday Sept 7 at 6:50PM; maximum
at 9:11PM; Ends 11:55PM. Duration: 5 hours, 5
minutes.
Feast of Oil - 22 Elul - sunset
September 14/15. Possible Rapture - Seven day warning
for start of the Tribulation?
Feast of Trumpets - depends on
sighting of the new moon - September 22 sunset or September
23 sunset. Possible start of the Tribulation
period. OR Possible Rapture and the start of the
Tribulation period.
Matthew 25:13 "Watch therefore, for
you know neither the day nor the hour in which
the Son of Man is coming." The Greek word 'oidate' or
"know" can be translated "perceive" and "appreciate".
They did not 'perceive' or 'appreciate' that day - this
implies 'you could have known if you'd paid attention.
"Perceive" means to be aware of, realize or understand, or
believe, grasp something mentally. "Appreciate" means
to recognize the full implications of, fully recognize, or
understand the full implications...
Like when Jesus rode the donkey
into Jerusalem (Triumphal Entry) he said "Would that you had
KNOWN on this day ..but now they are hidden from your
eyes." Luke 19:42 If you had understood,
recognized, perceived that on this day - but "you did not
recognize the time of your visitation from God.".
I believe we can 'know' the day of
the Rapture. And Maybe as we approach that day, the
Believers will have a sense of knowing or perceiving like
the 5 Wise Virgins - they kept their oil jars and lamps full
as they had a sense of knowing concerning the Bridegrooms
arrival. They had an 'awareness', of His coming and
prepared accordingly.
Just some thoughts for now...
Pray for the peace of Jerusalem!
Maranatha!
