According to the Torah Calendar, Appointment Time/Appointed Time/ Feast of Elohim # 7 called Sukkot will begin at sunset for Israel on 9-17 and will end on Day 8 Shemini Atzeret from 9-25 to 26. Days 1 and 8 are high Shabbats. When there were the 2 Temples at Jerusalem, Days 1 and 8 were times for sacred convocations for ancient Israel. There are many names for this final annual set apart time: The Feast of Tabernacles, the Feast of Ingathering, and The Season of Our Joy. In Israel some will build sukkahs and eat meals there and sleep there. A sukkah is a flimsy temporary tent dwelling for 7 days and nights. They are taken down on Day 8, on Shemini Atzeret. Sukkahs remind of the 40 years of wilderness travels by the 12 tribes of Israel. And perhaps above all, sukkahs daily remind us that the lives we live in our mortal bodies are temporary, not permanent.
There are currently trouble places on the planet: Russia, Ukraine, Israel and Middle East, China, and Taiwan. Lisa at her watchwoman site has noted recently about Russian subs near the UK and USA.Is that usually the case? Probably. According to the Scriptures, after a pre hour of trial Resurrection Rapture, which Paul called The Blessed Hope, will be a 7 year shavua (the 70th week of Daniel). Might The Blessed Hope be at the beginning or ending of Sukkot 2024 on the Torah Calendar? Will some exchange the impermanent for the permanent into eternity? Will the Sukkot Days 1-7 be symbolic of the 7 years ahead of Daniel's 70th Week? At some time, some "will be hidden in the pavilion" according to Isaiah. Are important days just before us? Sukkot 2024!
With Love and Shalom,Jean
