Re: Chance - The Shroud of Turin - Now Going Viral
Dear Friends:
The Shroud of Turin may be a legitimate First Century cloth, but
it is not
our Lord Yeshua. The PROOF is in the Scriptures of
Truth. Read the
following:
1 Corinthians 11:14 KJB:
"Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long
hair, it is
a shame unto him."
Now, do not tell me that shoulder length hair is not long
hair. If so, you
do violence to the Scriptures.
Lewis B. was correct. The Shroud of Turin is not our Lord Jesus.
John 19:40 KJB:
"Then took they the body of Jesus, and wound it in linen clothes
with the
spices, as the manner of Jews is to bury."
The Greek noun "linen clothes" is "othonion" which describes a
piece of
linen, small linen cloth, strips of linen cloth for swathing the
dead. The
Shroud of Turin in one sheet full body length, not strips of
linen cloth
used for "winding" as described in John 19:40. Strips are
wound, not
sheets.
Think about this truth! What clothing was Jesus wrapped in
at His birth? A
prophecy was given to the wise men which identified the correct
Jesus.
Luke 2:12 KJB:
"And this shall be a SIGN unto you; Ye shall find the babe
wrapped in
swaddling clothes, lying in a manger."
The Greek word for "swaddling clothes" is "spargano'o". It
means to strap
in swaddling clothes.
Jesus did NOT have long hair. Period.
Jesus would likely criticize people who profane His image as a
long-haired
man. He might say, "You err not knowing the Scriptures".
Matthew 22:29.
Blessings.
