A great article and short video clip in the link. Almighty God promised to make Abraham into a great nation. And through Abraham, all nations will be blessed. Therefore, God's promises to Abraham are to him AND his descendants. Not just to Abraham alone.

Watching the short video clip, it occurred to me that some people are wilfully ignorant about Israel and her prime position in the 'Big Picture'. These people will spend an inordinate amount of time attempting to denigrate and minimise Israel's role in the grand scheme of things. This shows profound scriptural ignorance. Israel is the lead role in this story. Through Israel, the nations have been blessed with Jesus the Messiah and the Holy Spirit. To deny this, is to deny the truth of scripture.

Israel has long been ruled by flawed, mortal men/woman. They have long done battle with the Erev Rav (mixed multitude). The same evil trouble makers that followed them out of Egypt during the Exodus. These destructive rabble rousers are imbedded all over the world. Distorting truth, honesty and goodness. This story is about learning to obey God. To trust God. Obliterating evil when He tells us to. Israel's woes show us the folly of not obeying Almighty God. They serve as an example to the world. In the end - Israel will receive great blessings. It is the Erev Rav in Israel that will be annihilated, as per scripture. A huge number of these trouble makers will be decimated.
