A SCRIPTURAL CHALLENGE FOR YOUR EDIFICATION.........

Please accept the challenge by reading the following Scriptural metaphor, and then answer the questions that follow :

Metaphor definition : A 'figure of speech' which is 'a word or a phrase' used to describe 'a subject or an action' which does 'not literally apply'. 

John 4:34-37  ( Jesus speaking with a metaphor )

"My meat is to do the will of Him that sent Me, and to finish His work. Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then comes the harvest. Behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes and look on the fields, for they are white already to harvest. And He that reaps receives wages, and gathers fruit unto life eternal, that both He that sows, and He that reaps may rejoice together. And herein is that saying true, One sows and another reaps."

QUESTIONS FOR YOU : 

(1)  What is the "work" that Jesus is speaking of when He says, "to finish His work" ?

(2)  Why did Jesus say, "Say NOT ye, There are yet four months, and then comes the harvest " ?

(3)  What is the  "harvest" that Jesus is speaking of when He says , "the harvest" ?

(4)  Why did Jesus say, "look on the fields for they are white already to harvest" ?

(5)  What is Jesus speaking of  when He said, "the fields" ? 

(6)  Why did Jesus describe the fields as being "white" ?

(7)  Who is Jesus speaking of when He said, "He that reaps" ?

(8)  What is Jesus speaking of when He says, "gathers fruit unto life eternal " ?

(9)  Who is Jesus speaking of when He said, "He that sows" ? 

(10) Why are "He that sows" and "He that reaps" rejoicing together ?
