The Age of Pentecost: Will This Age of Jubilee End In 2023?

This letter is a postscript to my other post today responding to Luis Vega’s Shemitah Countdown to Daniel’s 70th week.

I have been ruminating over the possibility that God’s ordained pilgrimage feasts, (1) Unleavened Bread, during which Jesus was resurrected on the festival of First Fruits, (2) Pentecost or Shavuot, and (3) Tabernacles or Sukkot, may be mathematically aligned with the number “50” and the future looking toward the Second Advent of Christ.  For the sake of speculation (1 Peter 1:11) we should ask ourselves if God’s ordered pilgrimage feasts.  Keep in mind that the Feasts of the Lord are the Lord’s. (Leviticus 23:2)  Of the seven “feasts” three are pilgrimage feasts and four are moedim which do not require pilgrimage.  The pilgrimage feasts are associated with the three orders of the first resurrection suggested by Paul in 1 Corinthians 15:20-24.  The pilgrimage feasts a prophetic picture of Christ’s resurrection (1 Corinthians 15:23a), the Church’s resurrection/rapture (1 Corinthians 23:b) and the Tribulation saints resurrection. (1 Corinthians 15:24; Revelation 20:4-5)

Exodus 23:15-17:

15 Thou shalt keep the feast of unleavened bread: (thou shalt eat unleavened bread seven days, as I commanded thee, in the time appointed of the month Abib; for in it thou camest out from Egypt: and none shall appear before me empty:)

16 And the feast of harvest, the firstfruits of thy labours, which thou hast sown in the field: and the feast of ingathering, which is in the end of the year, when thou hast gathered in thy labours out of the field.

17 Three times in the year all thy males shall appear before the Lord God.

He is my speculation:

  1.   Christ offered His life as an atonement offering for sin that would yield everlasting life to all who would believe as described by Paul in 1 Corinthians 15.  He was crucified as our Passover lamb and resurrected during the Feast of Unleavened Bread on the day of festival of First Fruits.   This was on the A.D. 30 pilgrimage feast.
  2.   The Church will be resurrected and caught out on the Feast of Pentecost at a future unknown date.  This will be the final fulfillment of the Pentecost typology which completes the second prophetic pilgrimage festival.   I will elaborate on this topic below.
  3.   The Tribulation saints will be resurrected on Earth at the final prophetic pilgrimage feast of Tabernacles at the Second Coming of Christ.

If Christ was resurrected in A.D. 30 and we add 2,000 years to that date we arrive at A.D. 2030.  Why would we add 2,000 years.  God often uses the number 40 with Israel and times of testing. I multiplied 40 periods by 50 years for the 2,000 year product. There are numerous examples in the Old Testament.    This 2030 year may speak to a 2030 Feast of Tabernacles and the Second Advent of Christ.  These “50” years could also constitute Jubilee periods since the First Coming’s Resurrection.  This “50” year type of counting could have a Jewish application.  Would God design 40 periods of 50 Jubliees to arrive at the next pilgrimage feast?  Maybe?

I multiplied the number “50” which also represents the number of days from Christ’s resurrection to the first Pentecost when the Holy Spirit began “depositing” the Spirit into believers.  Keep in mind that this deposit has been in a state of continuous deposition since A.D. 30. Pentecost is a suspended state of Jubilee where God imputes His righteousness to all believers setting them free from sin’s sting of death.   But that deposit is only half of what has been promised.  Paul confirms that we wait for the redemption of the body “at His appearing”. (Ephesians 1:13-14, 4:30; Colossians 1:14) Our promised salvation has two stages, the deposit of the Holy Spirit to be followed by the redemption of the body. (1 Corinthians 15:51-53)   The Levitical symbolism associated with the Feast of Pentecost is the baking of two loaves of bread offered up to God in thanks for the harvest. (Leviticus 23:17)  One loaf represents the resurrection of the dead in Christ and the other the catching out of the living in Christ.  This resurrection/rapture event will complete the feast typology of Pentecost.

This Age of Pentecost/Jubilee, often called the “gap” between Daniel 9:26 and 27, is in reality an intervening period of two coexisting realties, the physical realm (the kingdom of the world) and the spiritual realm.  The spiritual realm was labeled by Jesus as the mystery of the “Kingdom of God” (Matthew 21:43), which is Christ indwelt. (Ephesians 3:17, Colossians 1:27) This is a timeless period of spiritual quantum superposition in Christ. We are physically on Earth while, at the same time, being seated in God’s heavenly realm.  (Ephesians 2:6)   Time has stopped for us spiritually speaking.  Time has also stopped for Israel.  God’s plan for Israel had been suspended following the nation’s rejection of Christ as Messiah in the week leading up to Passover and the national rejection continues during this Age of Pentecost/Jubilee between Daniel 9:26 and 27.    Daniel’s 70th week will follow the resurrection/rapture event.

Year 2022 and 2023 should be a high watch seasons for the pre-tribulation resurrection/rapture event.  All of our speculation about the possible 2022 and 2023 end of the Church Age still falls in line with the Psalm 90:10 generation and its reasonable application to the fig tree “generation” spoken of by Jesus in Matthew 24:34.

1 Peter 1:11  “Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow.”

We see the day approaching.   Could it be so simple?   There are so many alignment events taking place all over the world.  This convergence beckons our speculation.  Afterall ,we are told to encourage each other. (1 Thessalonians 4:18)
