Why do so many people have a hard time believing that the 144,000 are actual virgins, as it says?

So many people claim that only means that they are spiritual virgins.

And they do cite a scripture:

II Corinthians 11:2 For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.

However, except for when the term is for the virgin daughter of Zion, or Babylon,

is not vast majority of times, that the word virgin, virgins, or virginity, are used,

that it is speaking of actual physical virgins?

Also, what about:

I Corinthians 1:22 For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom:

Coupled with:

Isaiah 7:14 Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

So, would physical virginity, of so many men, in these lascivious times,

possibly be an amazing thing for the rest of the children of Israel to consider?

After all, would the world think it impossible for so many men to stay virgins?

So, then when others in Israel hear the gospel, they will also consider,

what the world would also call impossible, for an actual virgin woman,

to conceive without any human intervention, neither by relation with a man,

nor with in-vitro fertilization of some man's seed?
