Israel is God’s timepiece and it has started back up when Israel became a nation in 1948. The clock started and the Bible states that this generation will not pass away until all these things have been completed that are in the 70th week of Daniel. This is also known as the time of Jacob’s trouble or the seven years of tribulation. After the seven years, the one thousand year millennium kingdom. This is how I have understood the timeline.
Now I don’t think this is accurate because Jesus stated that, if the days of Jacob’s trouble were not shortened, no flesh would have survived. Also at the end of the millennium kingdom satan is released for a short period of time to deceive the nations. I now am convinced that the seven year tribulation has two parts, the first part being the seven year tribulation minus the shortened days. The second part is the time satan is released to deceive the nations at the end of the millennium kingdom. The seven year tribulation must be a full seven years. This is similar to the gap in Daniel’s seventy weeks for the church age. The shortened days of Jacob’s trouble are right before the millennium kingdom, and the short period of time that satan is released to deceive the nations is the completion of the seven years which is at the end of the millennium kingdom. The Bible says that this generation would not pass away that sees Israel become a nation. This generation that started in 1948 will live through the millennium since there is no death and finish the end of Jacob’s trouble. This will be the fulfillment of Jacob’s trouble and then usher in everlasting righteousness.
