Pastor Barrett Philipps is refreshingly forthright in his explanation of who Jesus Christ truly is.

In the Pastor's conversational delivery, he speaks out our rationalizations of what we think God is like. And the description fits our 

comfort zone.

Yet God does not accommodate our imaginations. He is who He is. He is defined clearly in the Bible. 

Yes, He is a loving God full of mercy.

Yet the fullness of God is that He is holy, and His justice must be understood properly if we are to have a rightly calibrated relationship with Him.

Pastor Philipps message is good for this hour because we are at the end of the Church Age. And many are awash in delusional thinking. That is why our Lord tells us first off in Matthew 24, not to be deceived.

The core of that command is to not be self-deceived. 

Believers, forsaking pride, will see the necessity of putting on their glasses and seeing  God as He truly is.
