The midwives did not obey Pharoah's mandate.
Jochebed, Moses mother, planned how to have Moses' life spared, and by the grace of God his life was indeed spared.
Jochebed was not resigned to Pharoah's command .She did not practice blind obedience.She practiced her own enginuity, as led by the Holy Ghost.She was not passive, but pro-active in saving the life of her child.

The devil has tried to wipe out generations of young people by having women abort their babies.
