For clarification, my letter had nothing to do with President Obama. I wanted the Doves to focus in on and pay attention to the word AFTER in Daniel 9:26. Daniel 9:25-26 tells that Messiah was cut off AFTER the 69th week ended. Therefore, Jesus was cutoff during the 70th week.
I believe that Jesus ministry was 3 ½ years in length and I believe that Jesus was cutoff/crucified in the middle of the 70th week, which leaves only 3 ½ years or 42 months or 1,260 days of the 70th week remaining to be fulfilled.
According to Romans 15:8, the Apostle Paul tells us that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made unto the fathers. Jesus’s was confirming the promises that God made to Abraham during the first 3 ½ years of the 70th week. Jesus has already fulfilled the first half of the 70th week. There are only 3 ½ years or 42 months or 1,260 days of the 70th week remaining to be fulfilled
Because of the word after in Daniel 9:26, it’s a mystery to me how anyone can study Daniel 9: 25-27 in conjunction with Romans 15:8 and conclude that there are still 7 years remaining to be fulfilled in the seventy weeks prophecy. It’s also a mystery to me how anyone can conclude that the HE in Daniel 9:27 is referring to the antichrist. The HE in Daniel 9:27 is referring back to the Messiah, Jesus Christ in Daniel 9:25-26.
Many Christians justify a future 7-year tribulation by saying that God’s two witnesses are witnessing during the first half (3 ½ years, 42 months or 1,260 days) and then they add another (3 ½ years, 42 months or 1,260 days) for the Great Tribulation for a total of 7-years remaining to be fulfilled. I lovingly suggest that those who believe that God’s two witnesses are witnessing during the first half of a 7-year tribulation, carefully read Revelation chapter 8, Revelation chapter 9 and Revelation chapter 11. God’s two witnesses ascend back to heaven after the 6th trumpet sounds and just before the 7th trumpet sounds.
