I have closely followed any news coming out of the Med recently. I have linked an opinion piece below, which you may be interested in. The author asks if NATO is paralysed over this dangerous situation. After much reading and praying, I am starting to suspect that Erdogan is deliberately obfuscating the entire debacle. Sure - the Turkish economy is in deep trouble and his popularity is not what it was. But, the man is not stupid. If Erdogan pushed this situation too far - he faces a crippling war. Perhaps he doesn't have anything to lose? Perhaps it's a "sink or swim" situation he is pondering?
I suspect there is way more to this than meets the eye. I deeply suspect it's a diversionary tactic. When we take prophecy into account - a world war culminates in all the nations coming against Israel. All the nations will most certainly be dragged to the East Med if and when a war breaks out there. A perfect situation to get all the nations gathered to that strategic spot. Who can guess what event happens to cause all the nations to suddenly stop fighting each other - unite and turn on Israel? But - I do believe an evil plot is being hatched.
Erdogan is banking on uniting the radical muslim world. He has troops in Syria, Libya and Lebanon. He is holding high intensity meetings with Hezbollah and Hamas. He is becoming more Russia oriented. And he hates Israel.
We need to pray and watch this situation closely.
