"EZEKIEL 38 IS THE WAR
THAT BRINGS THE RAPTURE"
EZEKIEL 38 IS THE WAR THAT BRINGS THE RAPTURE
Please join me to perfect this document.
Ezekiel 38 and Ezekiel 39 are two different wars led by one and
the same man whose name is Magog. The Bible tells us that Magog
comes from a country called Gog in the far north of Israel.
Ezekiel 38 happens around the time of the rapture of the
overcomers, and Ezekiel 39 happens at around the time of the
second coming of Christ (this is the Armageddon war). So Ezekiel
38 deals with a multinational forces led by Magog that will
attack Israel in the end times and how God will respond to this
attack and punish Magog and his armies.
There are only two countries that can be considered to be in the
far north of Israel and Jerusalem and those countries are Turkey
and Russia. So Ezekiel 38 could either be referring to Russia or
to Turkey. Today as we look at the developments in Israel and
its two far north countries, we see that both countries from the
far north are presently involved in the war in Syria. Russia has
been involved in Syria to a lessor or greater extend since 2011
with the Arab spring and Turkey came into Syria officially
through the north eastern parts of Syria since 2016 under the
pretext of defending its vital interests against the Kurds.
It is quite interesting that the two countries who are
geographically located in the far north of Israel and who are
prophesied to attack Israel in the latter days are now fighting
on opposite sides of a war in a country that borders with Israel
(The Bible refers to Gog as one country and not two countries,
so one of the two countries i.e. Turkey or Russia, is expected
to attack Israel in the future). Both countries (Turkey and
Russia) are presently involved in an ongoing war in a country
whose people (the Syrians) are the enemies of Israel.
Russia is in this war at the “invitation” of the “legitimate”
government of President Al Bashaar of Syria and Turkey has
joined this war for two purposes, first to stop the “influence”
and “threat” of the Kurds in the northern border of Syria,
especially on the north western side of the boarder and to
topple the regime of Al Bashaar in Damascus. It is envisaged
that if Turkey is to achieve its objectives, it will have at
some point to attack Damascus and depose of the regime of Al
Bashaar.
The above is a map of Gog the country whose chief prince is
Magog. The names such as Tubal, Meshech, Togarmah and
Magog are associated with this map. The book of genesis chapter
10 also lists these names amongst the descendants of Japheth
(who was the son of Noah). In Genesis 10:2 Gomer, Magog and
Meshech are mentioned as the sons of Japheth and in Genesis 10:3
Torgamah is mentioned as the son of Gomer.
Based on this map and Ezekiel 38 it seems more likely that Gog
is Turkey. There is however, a very strong argument that Gog
could also be Russia.
Turkey itself is busy today and right now consolidating the
formation of a new Arab organization mainly consisting of the
Sunni Muslims. This organization is very similar to the
leopard beast which Daniel 7 talks about. This leopard will be
constituted by all the enemies of Israel. Turkey is also now
leading all the rebel forces fighting against the government of
Al Bashaar in Syria. These rebel forces fighting Al Bashaar are
made up of Lybia, Sudan, ISIS and others. Russia on the other
hand is leading all the government forces fighting against the
rebel groups. The forces supporting Al Bashaar are therefore
constituted by Russia, Persia (Iran), the Syrian army, Hezbollah
and others. So Russia and Turkey (though friendly countries) are
both sitting on different sides of this war in Syria.
Every indication given in the Bible points to the Destruction of
Damascus by a military power from the far north of Israel. Right
now this force that will destroy Damascus seem to be the Turkish
multinational force fighting in Syria. The Bible Talks about the
Judgment of God on Damascus in the book of Jeremiah 49:23 KJV
23Concerning Damascus. Hamath is confounded, and Arpad: for they
have heard evil tidings: they are fainthearted; there is sorrow
on the sea; it cannot be quiet.
24Damascus is waxed feeble, and turneth herself to flee, and
fear hath seized on her: anguish and sorrows have taken her, as
a woman in travail.
25How is the city of praise not left, the city of my joy!
26Therefore her young men shall fall in her streets, and all the
men of war shall be cut off in that day, saith the LORD of
hosts.
27And I will kindle a fire in the wall of Damascus, and it shall
consume the palaces of Ben–hadad.
The above passage makes reference to two towns in north western
Syria which are somewhat related to the future destruction of
Damascus. We are told that just before the destruction of
Damascus two towns will be confounded and put to shame. These
two towns are Hamah and Arpad. The amplified Bible says
“Concerning and against Damascus (in Syria): Hamah and Arpad are
confounded and put to shame.” These towns are confounded and put
to shame because of the destruction that is upon them.
So basically the Bible is telling us that the signs to watch for
the destruction of Damascus are the attacks on Arpad and Hamah.
In our modern times we have seen the attacks on Arpad since 2016
and since 2018 we have currently been witnessing the attacks on
Hamah. The Turkish backed rebel forces have already taken over
Arpad and some parts of the Iglib governorate and are now
fighting against the Syrian government forces for the conquest
of Hamah. We reluctantly expect that after the conquest of
Hamah, Damascus will be finally destroyed fulfilling this
prophesy of Jeremiah 49 and that of Isaiah 17.
The Turkish army which is coming from the far north is the only
army in our latter days which seem to be fulfilling the prophecy
of Ezekiel 38. Turkey has now attacked and destroyed Arpad in
Syria and are now busy fighting for the conquest of Hamah in
accordance with this prophecy. We expect that as soon as they
destroy Hamah, they will move down some 500 kilometers to
destroy Damascus.
In the absence of any other force coming from the north to
attack Israel we would expect that after the Turkish
multinational forces destroy Damascus, their next logical
destination would be to attack the Golan Heights which are
located some 30 miles from Damascus. So the Golan Heights would
be like the cherry on the pie and a good incentive to recompense
this massive army. It is important to realize that today, most
of Damascus is already destroyed and this Bible prophecy about
the destruction of Damascus refers mostly to the old historic
city including the palaces of Ben Hadad.
As I have said before, right now I cannot see any other military
and multinational force coming from the far north to attack
Israel (if you know of any such force involving the Russians, I
will be more than happy to hear and learn about it). So the most
logical conclusion which is in line with the Bible right now is
that the Turkish presence in Syria is fulfilling Ezekiel 38
Prophecies. The only way that this may not be true is if the
attack of Israel from a far north country may still be yet an
event in the distant future, something which to me looks very
unlikely at this moment.
If I am correct about the Turkish led insurgency developing into
the Gog-Magog war, it is also easy to see from Ezekiel 38 that
Magog, who is leading this war is also the most possible
contender for the position of the anti-Christ. The same man
against whom God commanded Ezekiel to prophecy is the one
attacking Israel in both Ezekiel 38 rapture war and in Ezekiel
39 Armageddon war.
So based on this assumption, Ezekiel 38 happens after the
destruction of the old city of Damascus and it takes place in
the mountains of Israel (Ezekiel 38:21) most likely around the
Golan Heights. This surprise war will take place immediately
after the destruction of Damascus when Israel will be least
expecting it; before the signing of the seven year covenant,
shortly before the rapture of the overcomers takes place and
before the start of the seven years of tribulations. I want to
propose the following as the sequence of events that will come
to pass after the destruction of Damascus (please note that this
is just my personal opinion and I am requesting all those
watchers that are interested to help develop this sequence):
1. Magog the prince of Gog comes in to attack
Israel with his multinational forces from the far north
(following what I call the rapture route) in the latter times
(from Turkey, Arpad, Hamah and Damascus). The only military
force or army to have come from the far north in the latter
times which could qualify as the Gog Magog forces is the Turkish
army who entered Syria in the north western parts. This seems to
be the beginning of Ezekiel 38. No other military force in
modern latter times is approaching Israel from the far north
except Turkey. (The direct military Turkish involvement in Syria
began in 2016). As I have said before, Magog conquered Arpad and
will in due cause conquer Hamah with the help of rebel forces
(the Syrian freedom army, ISIS, Sudan, Libya) fighting since
2011 in Iglib.
2. Magog attacks Israel possibly from the
Golan Heights which is situated some 30 kilometers from
Damascus. The Golan Heights seem to be the most “politically
correct way” for Magog to justify to the world the attack
against Israel given the current dispute concerning this
territory and America’s recent recognition of the Golan heights.
3. Whilst this attack and war is taking place
in Israel, something else is taking place in heaven; the Devil
with his host is cast out of heaven. This is Revelations 12:
10-12 and 2 Thessalonians 2:1-3.
Revelations 12:10 says, “… for the accuser of our bretheren, he
who keeps bringing before our God charges against them day and
night, has been cast out! (Job 1:9-11)” AMP.
This is also what is spoken of in Revelations 6:14 which says,
“… And the sky rolled up like a scroll and vanished, and every
mountain and island was dislodged from its place.” AMP
The second heaven, which is Satan’s dwelling place is rolled up
like a scroll, his lease of the second heaven expires and then
he has no more place in the second and the third heaven. From
this point onward Satan has no more direct access to God. The
only unfortunate thing about this situation is that this very
same Satan and his host are cast down to the earth, where we
live.
4. Once the devil is on earth with his host,
Magog is given powers by the devil to be the ruler of the earth.
Ezekiel 38 explains this matter in the following subtle way, “…
At the same time thoughts shall come into your mind and you will
device and evil plan.” AMP. This evil plan will have been
concocted and authored by Satan himself immediately after
falling on earth with his host. It is Satan himself that will
command Magog to attack Israel.
Satan’s first priority after the fall (and out of anger and
frustration) will be the destruction of Israel just to get back
at God in revenge for his fall. So the attack of Israel after
the destruction of Damascus is a direct attack against God (it
is Satan pocking his dirty finger into God’s eye) and that is
the reason why God’s anger and wrath are seen in His subsequent
intervention and rapture of the overcomers.
Magog’s attacks against Arpad, Hamah and Damascus are the final
warnings for the Christian overcomers to look up to the heavens
for the sign of the Son of God. As I have said earlier on, the
war in Hamah has started and after Hamah is conquered, only one
more city will be left for destruction before the rapture.
Note: Christians need to be aware of the identity of the
anti-Christ long before he is revealed in 2 Thessalonians 2:1-3.
If you only get to know who the antichrist is by the time he is
officially revealed on TV and social media, it will probably be
too late for you to be on the rapture. The revelation of the
anti-Christ in 2 Thessalonians 2:1-3 is mainly for the sleeping
Christians, the atheist and all the lost people of the world.
5. The devil’s evil plan of anger and
frustration to spite God by destroying Israel backfires, Jesus
mysteriously intervenes in the ongoing Gog-Magog war in Israel.
The Bible says in Ezekiel 38:18 the following, “But in that Day
when God shall come against the land of Israel, says the Lord
God, My wrath shall come up into my nostrils.”
The result of the outpouring of God’s wrath is also explained in
several other scriptures as indicated below.
a. There shall be a great shaking
(earthquake), or cosmic catastrophe in the land of Israel
(Ezekiel 38:18). This earthquake is the one mentioned in
Revelations 6:12, the Bible says the following about this
earthquake: “When He (the Lamb) broke open the sixth seal, I
looked, and there was a great earthquake; and the sun grew black
as sackcloth of hair,(the full disc of) the moon became like
blood.)
b. Joel 2:10
The earth quakes before them; the heavens tremble. The sun and
the moon are darkened and the stars withdraw their shinning
c. Joel 2:31
The sun shall be turned to darkness and the moon to blood before
the great and terrible day of the Lord comes.
d. Isaiah 13:
For the stars of the heavens and their constellations will not
give their light; the sun will be darkened at its rising and the
moon will not shed its light.
6. When Jesus comes and intervenes in this
war, to destroy the forces of Magog, He comes in the form of a
whirlwind and destroys the forces of Magog. It is during this
period that Mosul is destroyed
7. The rapture takes place and those
Christians who are “overcomers” are taken to heaven
8. The seven year treaty/covenant with many is
signed between Magog, Israel, and the united nations immediately
after the rapture of the overcomers
9. The seven year tribulation period begins
10. In the first 3 and a half years the
Leopard beast of Daniel 7 is set up and all other beasts
consolidate to form one mega beast system. The setting up of the
Leopard beast leads to the death of many people especially in
North Africa and the Middle East.
11. Israel enjoys a period of relative peace
based on the protection of the covenant with many
12. At the end of the 3.5 years, the
abomination of desolation takes place
13. People in Jerusalem run to the mountains
14. The following scriptures are fulfilled
a. Luke 21:22
b. Luke 21:23
c. Luke 23:29
d. Matthew 24:29
e. Mark 13:19
f. Mark 13:20
g. Mark 13:24
h. Romans 2:9
15. This is the time referred to as the
tribulations of those days
16. At the end of this period the war of Psalm
83 takes place
17. At the end of Psalm 83 wars, Ezekiel 39
begins
18. The second coming of Jesus
19. The millennium of Christ
One important matter which I think it is important to realize is
that the abomination that causes desolation is an event that
comes only three and a half years after the start of the seven
year tribulation period, it only happens 3.5 years after the
rapture of the overcomers. So if you are perhaps waiting for
this event, you would as well wait for the great tribulation.
The sequence suggested above will possibly have its own flaws
but I believe that this can be a good guideline for us to start
working on a joined detailed end time schedule.
