We have just arrived back from a trip to Zimbabwe. We were DELIGHTED that old goblin, Mugabe, decided to pop his clogs on the day we left to come back to the UK. We almost felt that we had broken the spell ! The people of Zimbabwe are basically living off grid now. I exaggerate not. The more monied have invested in solar panels, inverters and generators. Running water is sporadic for all so boreholes have been sunk in many gardens. If WW3 broke out and the grid went down, Zimbabweans are well equipped. This is what Mugabe has done to a once thriving nation. The people are AMAZING and race relations are terrific. They are all in the plop together. The people, no matter their colour, are all united against the corrupt leadership. And it is SO corrupt. The current leadership is just as bad as the old. As one wag put it....It's the same old bus -  just a different driver. Utterly repugnant.

Driving through Zambia was not pleasant. The drought has rendered it as dry as dry can be. The towns and villages revealed such grinding poverty, it was heartbreaking. The wildlife has been poached and decimated. I am still in shock that the world has allowed the decimation of a once wonderful world heritage. Those poor animals. This poor old world.

The wrath of Almighty God is near. It has to be. I can't see how it can go on much longer.

Please come, LORD Jesus.
