   In Rev. 18:8 the Greek word for day is g2250 in Strongs hemera can mean a literal 24 hours but can also mean a time period, season, or even years. I've always believed through the years that the Day of the Lord, or great and terrible day of the Lord would last 5 months (time of the locusts) to 3 1/2 years and even a possible 7 years.
