"A Repetition of The
Days of Noah"
A Repetition of
The Days of Noah
By Pastor F. M. Riley
August 31, 2017
"And as it was in the days of Noah, so
shall it be also in the days of the Son of man," Luke
17:26.
Introduction
In this Scripture text the Lord Jesus
Christ Himself explicitly stated that at the time He comes
again, world conditions will be "as it was in the days of
Noah." There is no use of any real Bible believer trying
to deny this, for the Lord Himself clearly stated that this is
the way it will be. The Lord Jesus did not, and does not,
lie about anything. He said that when He comes again, to
resurrect and rapture His people to glory, the whole world
system will be experiencing a repetition of "the days of Noah."
Proof of this Truth
Well, is it? It most
certainly is, and there is no more glaring proof of this, than
the terrible floods which are occurring along the Gulf Coast of
Texas and Louisiana even as I write. Any true
believer knows that the great truth about "the days of Noah" was
the flood that the Lord God brought upon wicked, God hating,
rebellious mankind, wiping out all of pre-flood humanity, except
for Noah and his family.
The Lord God did say that He would
never wipe out "all flesh" on the earth again with a
flood, Genesis 9:11. However, the Lord God did not say
that there would be no more floods. Floods have occurred
over and over again throughout human history since "the days of
Noah, and are still occurring today. A great flood is
occurring in America as I write.
A Repetition
Some of God's people who seriously
study Bible prophecy have been expecting a "flood event" of
Biblical proportions to occur, simply because they recognize
that we are living in a repetiton of "the days of Noah."
Just as it was in those ancient days, the "wickedness of man
[unbelieving, Christ rejecting mankind] is great in the
earth, and every imagination of the thoughts of his heart is
only evil continually," Genesis 6:5. Any honest
reader can look about the world around them today and see this
truth displayed for yourself. Also the whole earth today
is filled with violence, Genesis 6:11, just like it was in "the
days of Noah." And once again, "all flesh has corrupted
his way upon the earth," Genesis 6:12. Truly, mankind upon
the earth today has been divided into two groups, just as it was
in "the days of Noah." The vast majority of mankind today
is in unbelief and rebellion against the Lord God and His
Word. Only a small miniority of mankind today believe
God's Word and have received Christ as their Savior, [just like
Noah and his family].
Hurricane Harvey
And now, with world conditons in this
kind of immoral mess, here comes a flood of Biblical
proportions. Day after day of rain to the point of 61.2
inches having fallen, is not a "normal" rainfall.
Remember Katrina?
How many of our readers remember that
Hurricane Katrina formed in the Atlantic and struck the Gulf
Coast of America just six weeks after the people of Israel had
been forcibly evicted from their homes and lands in the Sinai
Peninsula? This eviction of the Jewish people from
the Sinai, was directly due to political and economic pressure
put upon Israel by the United States of America. Our
spiritually [willingly] ignorant leaders wanted the Sinai given
to the Palestinians, who are the avowed enemies of
Israel. As Hurricane Katrina struck the Gulf Coast
of the U.S., thousands of American people were driven from their
homes and businesses, many of which were totally destroyed, so
that the owners lost everything. Genesis 12:3 is still in
the Bible!
Now 12 years later, to the exact day,
Hurricane Harvey strikes the Gulf Coast of America.
Apparently America and it's wicked leaders, didn't learn a thing
from the devastation caused by Hurricane Katrina. And just
how bad is this new hurricane which has struck the Gulf Coast?
Folks, I am 83 years old, and in my
entire life, I have never previously seen or even heard of a
rain storm which dropped 61.2 inches of rain on any area of the
earth. But this one has! Flooding has
occurred along the Gulf Coast unlike anything we Americans have
ever previously seen. Houston, Victoria, Bay City, and
other areas have experienced floods of Biblical
proportions. It has been reported on the TV news that some
42,000 plus homes in the area have been so badly damaged that
they cannot be repaired and will never be livable again.
Is the Lord God trying to tell the American people
something? Are any of the American people listening?
By the way, "42" is the number in the Bible which signifies,
"the coming of Christ." Hello!
Forty Days
How many of our readers remember that
preceding the entrance of Noah and his family into the Ark, "the
rain was upon the earth forty days and forty nights," Genesis
7:12? Well guess what?
The great Solar Eclipse occurred on
August 21, 2017. Read Genesis 1:14. This was also the
first day of a forty day count which will end on the eve of
the Jewish Holy Day of Yom Kippur, September 29,
2017. Make the count for yourself. As I write, we
are now ten days into the forty day count. There is
still thirty more days to go until this forty day period is
completed. I am made to wonder what else will happen
during these next thirty days?
Coincidence or the Hand of God?
Now is this all just
"coincidence" that there is a Biblical type flood happening in
this country right now, and that we are living in a forty day
period of time, which started with a rare and highly unusual
Solar Eclipse, and will end on the Jewish Day of Atonement?
By the way, it has been some time since
I reminded our readers that there is no word in the Hebrew
language for "coincidence." The Israelite people do not
believe that coincidences occur, but rather that all things
which occur are overseen or directly ordered by Almighty
God. Would to God that our American people had that much
faith in our Creator and Savior. Perhaps if we did,
America would not presently be experiencing the judgment of
Almighty God, with much worse yet to come. Psalm
9:17, Jeremiah 30:11, and 46:28 are still in the Bible!
The Coming [Parousia] of the Lord
What is indicated by this repetition of
"the days of Noah?" Well, the Lord Jesus Himself clearly
and explicity said, "So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these
things, know that it is near, even at the doors," Matthew
24:33. The context makes it quite clear that the Lord is
referring to His coming to resurrect and rapture His Church and
people to glory, and to gather the remnant of Israel back to
their ancient homeland for their redemption. Glory to
God! Hallelujah!
Will the Lord now come during or before
these present forty days are completed? I do not
know! But since we are dealing with a repetition of "the
days of Noah," I remind our readers, that at the end of that
forty days so long ago, Noah and his family entered the Ark and
were lifted above waters of the flood. Therefore, I would
not be at all surprised if the Lord does come, during or at the
end of these forty days, for I am expecting Him to appear in the
heavens above the earth at anytime now, 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18;
Colossians 3:4; 2 Timothy 4:8; Titus 2:11-15.
Conclusion
And if He does suddenly appear, will
you be ready? Are you saved from sin by grace and
faith in the Lord Jesus Christ? Do you have the assurance
of forgiven sin and salvation in Christ? If not, then I
suggest you immediately open God's Word and study about His way
of salvation, set forth in John 3:3-7, 3:16-18, 5:24, 14:6, Acts
4:12, 16:30-31, Romans 10:8-13, Ephesians 2:8-10, and many other
similar Scriptures throughout the New Testament. I am
praying for the salvation of every lost reader, even as I
write. I truly do want to meet you in Heaven, when our
Lord and Savior comes for us. Please don't disappoint
me!
