"...we through the Spirit eagerly wait for the hope of righteousness by faith. For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision avails anything, but faith working through love." [Gal.5:5,6] Only those of us who have the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit are practicing righteousness now, while we eagerly wait for our bodies to be redeemed for doing so, on the 8th of October 2016. Which is the Last Day of this Jubilee Year. Doing good to others, from sincere love, is what it means to practice righteousness. This is how faith really works. It's quiet obvious that hundreds of millions of so-called Christians today don't have the Holy Spirit in them, that's why they have a spurious faith that doesn't work in every day life. It's the reason why their marriages often end in divorce at the same rate as those who don't believe in God at all. And also why they often speak of their righteousness being filthy rags, which is a complete distortion of the Word. For those of us who have the Holy Spirit, the righteousness we diligently practice is the righteousness of God Himself. Hence we read "Children, don’t let anyone deceive you — it is the person that keeps on doing what is right who is righteous, just as God is righteous." [1 John 3:7]
