"Re: Marilyn - 2
witnesses - Re: WHY DID MOSES AND ELIJAH APPEAR WITH JESUS
AT THE TRANSFIGURATION?"
Hi;
To me, the two witnesses are two men. They are killed, and their
bodies lie in the street of Jerusalem for three days. Then, they
stand upon their feet and are caught up to Heaven. At that time,
there is a great earthquake. A tenth part of Jerusalem falls.
In Rev 10:11, John was told, “Thou must prophesy AGAIN before
many peoples, and nations, and tongues, and kings.”
Therefore, the “RISE” in the next verse is the Mid-Trib Rapture
of the Temple of the Holy Spirit. Both Raptures are represented
in Rev 11:1-13.
Rev 11:10 says that the TWO WITNESSES are “TWO PROPHETS”. How
can you get around that?
Rev 11:1-13 says, “And there was given me a reed like unto a
rod: and the angel stood, saying, RISE (i.e., the Mid-Trib
First-Trump Rapture of ITh 4:16,17), and measure the temple of
God, and the altar, and them that worship therein. 2 But
the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it
not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall
they tread under foot forty and two months (i.e., during the
Great Tribulation). 3 And I will give power unto my two
witnesses (i.e., Moses and Elijah, seen coming at the time of
the Mid-Trib Rapture in the Transfiguration), and they shall
prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in
sackcloth. 4 These are the two olive trees, and the two
candlesticks standing before the God of the earth. 5 And
if any man will hurt them, fire proceedeth out of their mouth,
and devoureth their enemies: and if any man will hurt them, he
must in this manner be killed. 6 These have power to shut
heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: and have
power over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth
with all plagues, as often as they will. 7 And when they
shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth
out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall
overcome them, and kill them. 8 And their dead bodies
shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is
called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.
9 And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and
nations shall see their dead bodies three days and an half, and
shall not suffer their dead bodies to be put in graves. 10
And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and
make merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because these
TWO PROPHETS tormented them that dwelt on the earth. 11
And after three days and an half the Spirit of life from God
entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great
fear fell upon them which saw them. 12 And they heard a
great voice from heaven saying unto them, COME UP HITHER (i.e.,
the Last-Trump Rapture of ICo 15:51-54). And they ascended up to
heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them. 13 And
the same hour was there a great earthquake, and the tenth part
of the city fell, and in the earthquake were slain of men seven
thousand: and the remnant were affrighted, and gave glory to the
God of heaven.”
The Transfiguration tells us who these two witnesses are, and
shows us that the Feast of Tabernacles is near at the time of
the Rapture.
Mat 17:1-11 says, “And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James,
and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain
apart (i.e., as if in the Mid-Trib Rapture), 2 And was
transfigured before them: and HIS FACE DID SHINE AS THE SUN, AND
HIS RAIMENT WAS WHITE AS THE LIGHT. 3 And, behold,
there appeared unto them MOSES AND ELIAS talking with him.
4 Then answered Peter, and said unto Jesus, Lord, it is
good for us to be here: if thou wilt, let us make here three
tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias.
5 While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed
them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is
my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him. 6
And when the disciples heard it, they fell on their face, and
were sore afraid. 7 And Jesus came and touched them, and
said, Arise, and be not afraid. 8 And when they had lifted
up their eyes, they saw no man, save Jesus only. 9 And as
they came down from the mountain, Jesus charged them, saying,
Tell the vision to no man, until the Son of man be risen again
from the dead. 10 And his disciples asked him, saying, Why
then say the scribes that Elias must first come? 11 And
Jesus answered and said unto them, ELIAS TRULY SHALL FIRST COME,
AND RESTORE ALL THINGS.”
John expands on this in Rev 1:9-18.
It says, “I John, who also am your brother, and companion in
tribulation (i.e., Mid-Trib), and in the kingdom and patience of
Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos (i.e.,
meaning mortal), for the word of God, and for the testimony of
Jesus Christ. 10 I was (lit., became) in the Spirit on the
Lord's day (i.e., the Day of Christ), and heard behind me a
great voice, as of a trumpet, 11 Saying, I am Alpha and
Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a
book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia;
unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto
Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto
Laodicea. 12 And I turned to see the voice that spake with
me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks; 13
And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son
of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about
the paps with a golden girdle. 14 His head and his hairs
were WHITE like wool, as WHITE as snow; and his eyes were as a
flame of fire; 15 And his feet like unto fine brass, as if
they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many
waters. 16 And he had in his right hand seven stars: and
out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his
countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength. 17 And
when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his
right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and
the last: 18 I am he that liveth, and was dead; and,
behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell
and of death.”

Some Christian believers already have the fullness of the Holy

To me, at the Transfiguration, Jesus showed us who the two
witnesses are, Moses and Elijah.
The Revelation of Jesus Christ is written as if it is Mid-Trib.
THE PROOF: Rev 2:22 says, “Behold, I will cast her (i.e.,
Jezebel, of the church of Thyatira) into a bed, and them that
commit adultery with her into GREAT TRIBULATION, except they
repent of their deeds.”

Subject: Marilyn - 2 witnesses - Re: WHY DID MOSES AND ELIJAH
APPEAR WITH JESUS AT THE TRANSFIGURATION?
Hi Marilyn,
Clearly this is a controversial topic as we must glean, only
from clues, our conclusions. My understanding is the TWO
WITNESSES are the Church and Israel here's why:
> Zechariah 4:11-14 says, "Then answered I, and said
unto him, What are these two olive trees upon the right side of
the candlestick and upon the left side thereof? 12 And I
answered again, and said unto him, What be these two olive
branches which through the two golden pipes empty the golden oil
out of themselves? 13 And he answered me and said, Knowest
thou not what these be? And I said, No, my lord. 14 Then
said he, These are the two anointed ones, that stand by the Lord
of the whole earth."
TWO GROUPS of people who are the ONLY TWO WITNESSES in all the
earth who stand for the only true God ARE:
1. true believers in Christ Jesus the Son of God, Christians or
formally known as the WILD OLIVE TREE = the Church
2. the other witness standing before the one true God the
NATURAL OLIVE TREE = Israel
Revelation 20:4 “...and I saw the souls of them that were
beheaded for the WITNESS of Jesus AND for the WORD of God.” 15:3
“And they sang the song of Moses the servant of God AND the song
of the Lamb.”
TWO different songs that cannot be sung by any ONE individual
group of people, because they are victory songs sung by those
who have been brought victory buy the one whom the song is
about.
The children of Israel were brought to victory by Moses being
delivered from Egypt through the Red Sea. And we as Christians
are brought to victory through the blood of the Lamb. We each
have our own song to sing.
Compare Rev 11:11-12 to Psalm 79:2,3 “The dead bodies of YOUR
SERVANTS have been given unto the fowls of heaven, the flesh of
YOUR SAINTS unto the beast of the earth. Their blood have they
like water shed round about Jerusalem: and there was none to
bury them.”
The two dead bodies blood all around Jerusalem ... That's a lot
of blood.
Revelation 11:3 “I will GIVE power unto my two witnesses...”
Luke 24:49,49 “And you are WITNESSES of these things. And
behold, I send the PROMISE of my Father upon you: tarry you in
the city of Jerusalem, until you be endued with (or given) POWER
from on high.”
Acts 1:8 “But you shall receive (be given) POWER after that the
Holy Ghost is come upon you, and you shall be WITNESSES unto me
both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria and to the
uttermost part of the earth (standing before or for God in all
the earth
He gives power to His witnesses and not “I will SEND two
witnesses who will have power" as the TWO WITNESSES are already
here in the earth. The church and the Jews are already
witnessing for God.
