I realized I should have wrote this last week when I saw
Gary's letter re knowing our purpose.

Last week we were hiking in the mountains in a pine
forest. My wife Mieko noticed a shiny tree that appeared
wet. It seemed out of place. Looking at it closer I noticed
the leaves were sticky and bees were attracted to it.
Wondering why this tree was like that I felt the Lord say,
'every tree has a purpose'. I knew he was speaking of my son
who is having a difficult time. God created, formed us and
our purpose in the womb. Blessed is the man who finds God's
purpose for his life. Even the trees that all look the same
have a purpose individually. The forest is made of various
types of trees, yet they serve a purpose individually and
together. "The trees of the field clap their hands" Isaiah
51:12. Even nature knows who God is, and so should we, that
is our highest purpose. May God's people completely fulfill
what God has called us to do and bring life back to this
world and ourselves.
