DOES OIL MEAN THE HOLY SPIRIT ?                


FINALLY !   Someone "gets it" !   Chris K, you are RIGHT !   I too, wonder at the
Lack of Response concerning your conclusion(s).  One thing tho, you are NOT
going to be able to Carry Your Cross without an Ever Increasing Presence of the
Holy Spirit to Guide, Encourage, and Comfort you on your Journey on the Narrow
Road. It is therefore understandable that an Increased Amount of OIL would be
Construed to Represent the Holy Spirit. You NEED an INCREASE of the H.S. to
STAY ON THE NARROW WAY.  It's a Rough Road !  It HAS to be.  It is a Test of
Faith that you have submitted yourself to.  (the  little talked about Baptism of Fire)
Think of it as a "payment plan" where you Share in CHRIST'S Suffering so GOD
can "Legally" Adopt you as one of CHRIST'S  BROTHERS.  This is a DIFFERENT
Standing than just being SAVED.  Some people are satisfied with that and that's
their Choice.  But if JESUS says to "Pick Up Your Cross and Follow ME",  well
that's good enough for me.  Cuz I Love HIM so much I'm going to do what HE
asks of me.  There HAS to be a Reason for this Request and because HE ASKED
us to, I'm in !   When you have committed your WILL ( in ALL THINGS ) to HIM,
you quite Humanly Expect Blessings to be your lot,  ha, ha, NOT THE CASE !
Remember, you are there to SHARE in HIS SUFFERING.  And Suffer you Will !
But HE PROMISES it won't be beyond your ability to withstand.  And HE MEANS
WHAT HE SAYS !   I can Testify to that.  Some times I feel like I can't do another
day, yet I'm still hanging in there.  ( and I'm NOT ALONE, there are OTHERS too)
It is one CLEARLY Defined Qualification for attending the Wedding Feast as a
PART of the Wedding (Bridesmaids) and not just one of the Guests.  This "Yoke"
thing is Exactly That !  An INVITATION to be IN THE WEDDING ITSELF.  This is
why I ALWAYS stress the NEED to HEAR HIS VOICE....it is the FIRST THING
YOU NEED to BEGIN your JOURNEY on the NARROW ROAD....Besides, HE
ASKS us to do this,  why wouldn't you?  The only reason I can think of is that
you Don't Love HIM more than yourself.  (Even unto Death, remember?)
      So once again....SEEK HIS VOICE !

                & it's not Humanly possible to Thank HIM Enough !  But you will try.
                  ( It could be said that YOU are the "lamp oil" that doesn't produce
                      enough LIGHT...that LASTS till HE COMES )
