"Something to Consider"
Something to Consider
I have been following the biblical prophecies for over 45 years
now, and it always amazes me how the "evidence" of significant
fulfillment increases each day. And yet, every calculation
repeatedly comes up short. And of course, the more popularized
predictions that fall short, results in greater criticism and
"falling away," of many confessed believers. (I.e.: 88
Reasons Jesus will return in 1988.).
We have now entered a new season of significant probable
fulfillments, "based on strong evidence." And yet, I can't
help but wonder if the primary prophetic fulfillment of this new
season will be further fulfilling second Peter chapter 3 and
second Thessalonians chapter 2.
2Pe
3:3
Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days
scoffers, walking after their own lusts,
2Pe
3:4
And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the
fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the
beginning of the creation.
======================
2Th 2:1 ¶ Now we
beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ,
and by our gathering together unto him,
2Th
2:2
That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by
spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day
of Christ is at hand.
2Th
2:3
Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not
come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of
sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
I think that everyone would agree that each individual biblical
prophecy can be fulfilled on many different levels and repeated
throughout time. Over a year ago, after a fast and long study of
the book of Daniel, I began to see that the "altar in the temple
of God," where the "abomination that makes desolate," is set up,
is actually the altar of incense. In Daniel's day, the
Temple in Jerusalem was already in desolation and there were no
"daily" (morning and evening) blood sacrifices given by the
priesthood. But Daniel was able to "continue" the "morning and
evening" (daily) sacrifice of prayer (altar of incense) while
living in captivity in Babylon. In fact, he actually ministered
three times a day, which earned him a ticket to dinner at
Nebuchadnezzar's zoo.
1Co
3:16
Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit
of God dwelleth in you?
1Co
3:17
If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for
the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.
--------------
2Co
6:16
And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are
the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in
them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall
be my people.
And the altar of incense is where the priest offers the prayers
of the saints. If an idol is set up on your altar, or if you are
"shaken in mind, or be troubled," your prayers would be an
abomination, or may not even be presented at all.
Rev
8:3
And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden
censer; and there was given unto him much incense, that he
should offer it with the prayers of all saints upon the golden
altar which was before the throne.
Rev
8:4
And the smoke of the incense, which came with the prayers of the
saints, ascended up before God out of the angel's hand.
Rev
8:5
And the angel took the censer, and filled it with fire of the
altar, and cast it into the earth: and there were voices, and
thunderings, and lightnings, and an earthquake.
----------
Rev 5:8 ¶ And
when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty
elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them
harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of
saints.
So consider that the Father might be fulfilling prophecy, but
not necessarily the prophecy that you expected.
2Th
2:9
Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all
power and signs and lying wonders,
2Th
2:10
And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that
perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that
they might be saved.
2Th
2:11
And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that
they should believe a lie:
2Th
2:12
That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but
had pleasure in unrighteousness.
----------
2Th
2:15
Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which
ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle.
----------
Luk
21:35
For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face
of the whole earth.
Luk
21:36
Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted
worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and
to stand before the Son of man.

13:37
And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.
