""Delay is Not Defeat!""

All Doves:

This was not the year, but that does not in any way diminish the importance of Rosh HaShanah.  Not a chance.  Critics will say whatever they want to say to put down the Pre-Trib Rapture folks.

When you stack up the material that I have shared over the past five months, we still have a better understanding of the significance of Rosh HaShanah.  There is no other Feast Day that provides us the "Typology' than the Feast of Trumpets, Rosh HaShanah, Yom Teruah offers regarding the Pre-Trib Rapture.

I can remember back in the mid-1990's when Michael Drosnin's book, 'The Bible Code' was the rage of media.  Many of you will recall how 'Newsweek', and 'Time' magazine shared the story of Michael Drosnin's prediction that the 'Code' predicted the atomic holocaust in 1996, and then again in 2000.  While it did not happen, and we thank God for that, nonetheless, the Bible Code has been discredited.  Grant Jeffrey said that it was only accurate for discovering past events, not future events.  That being the case, clearly God has obviously chose to be God.  Again, we can be thankful for that because of what it means.

That fact notwithstanding, it has not stopped 'Code' searchers from continuing to keep on with their searching searching.  So if the 'Codes' failed, should we give up on them.  Perhaps.  It did give the hopes of many a huge let-down.  I know the feeling.  I was riding in the back seat an Army L-19, 2-seater, in route from Bad Kreuznach to Kaiserslautern, Germany, in 1958, when we suddenly dropped about 100-feet in altitude.  The pilot had forgotten to switch-over his fuel tanks.  It sure felt like it was over to me at the time.  I never got into the 'Bible Codes', so I was neither warm or cold on them.

The reason that I remained open-minded toward the'Codes' was because of the existence of the "Heptadic Design" discovered centuries past.  Mathematicians and computer programmers have since long proved the Textus Receptus (Masoretic Hebrew/Stephanos Greek) contains a "Heptadic" Design that no other manuscripts in existence has yielded.  It is the 'Signature of God's' validating the KJV Bible.

But all that aside, we know that Christ Jesus fulfilled the first four 'Feasts of the Lord' precisely to the day, hour, and moment.  It is for this single reason I am confident that He will fulfill the last three Fall Feasts, just as precisely as He did the four Spring Feasts.  It stands to reason that if Rosh HaShanah is next in line for Christ Jesus to fulfill, then we are going to have to wait at least another year.

We can speculate all we want as to why the Rapture did not happen this Rosh HaShanah week, however, I'm of the view that the most important thing to remember is that we now have additional time to reach those we want to see come to the Lord.  Our priority should be to double-down and go the extra miles needed to convince the lost the days remaining are shrinking at an alarming rate.  The world around us confirms that fact.  The Apostle Paul pointed out in Romans 13:11, "And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than we believed."  Paul has intentionally impressed upon the reader that the day of salvation is TODAY!  There are numerous passages that affirm God wants ALL to receive His gift of GRACE, and not be guilty of committing the unpardonable sin of rejecting the act of God's unconditional love.

There isn't a single one of you that can say they do not know of someone or have no one to focus on in reaching them with the greatest gift they could ever receive.  Salvation and discipleship is two different things, and sadly, most denominations in our world are about making disciples when they have failed to address one's salvation. In looking back over the past five months, everything I have posted has been based on solid Bible text evidence and not human imagination.  I can't deny being somewhat disappointed; however, retired or not, I have a responsibility to witness to the effect that all have fallen short of the glory of God and that we all need a Savior to be our advocate before a Holy and Righteous God!

Let it be an opportunity to win souls for Christ Jesus.  Delay is not defeat!

God bless,

Pastor Bob
