Ciao, John and Doves,

As i write this, it is 4 September 2014--which is 9-10 Elul 5774.

There are only 3 weeks until Rosh Hashanah.  The Jewish Near Year is also known as Yom Teruah = Day of the Awakening Blast.

By either name, the holiday lasts for 2 days.  Back in the day, before precise clocks and computers, one could not know the day or the hour of the exact beginning of the year.  The nickname remains, though:  “The hidden day.”

This upcoming Rosh Hashanah 1 begins at evening on Wednesday, 24 September 2014.  Rosh Hashanah 2, as the second day is called, ends on the evening of Friday, 26 September 2014.

These two days of 5775 are also the first two days in the 70 X 7th Sabbath year since Joshua and Caleb entered the promised land for the first time.

The bottom line is that the Jewish New Year starting in 2015 will be the 70th Jubilee year since the count began 3,430  years ago, during the [fall] grape harvest in 1416 BC, at the beginning of the Jewish year 2346.  That was when the 10 faithless spies dissuaded the majority of the children of Israel to abandon the thought of conquering the Promised Land.

When the children of that generation finally entered the promised land forty years later, it was 10 more years [including the year they were in, since they had entered in the spring of 1375 BC] until the very first Jubilee year.

In addition to that half year, there were nine more years until the first Jubilee began in the fall of 1367 BC.  The Jubilee is when the land returns to its rightful owners, the heirs of Abraham.

And yet, because of sin during those ten [nine and a half, really] years, the heirs of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel have never really conquered the whole shebang given by God to Abraham.

But we fast forward to today, and we know that Yeshua HaMashiach is coming soon.

Now hear this:  thanks to the fact that Jews have been at times slaves of the of the sons of Ishmael and of the sons of Esau, Jews have literally walked all over the Arabian peninsula.

This is good, for it is written,

Wherever you set foot, that land will be yours. Your frontiers will stretch from the wilderness in the south to Lebanon in the north, and from the Euphrates River in the east to the Mediterranean Sea in the west.

Deuteronomy 11:24

Oh, and this world is a sphere.  There are many ways to get from point A to point B, as is shown by airline routes and flights over the southern hemisphere.

Truly, it is written,

            The King of Glory

A Psalm of David.

1The earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof,a
the world and those who dwell therein,
2for he has founded it upon the seas
and established it upon the rivers.

3Who shall ascend the hill of the Lord?
And who shall stand in his holy place?
4He who has clean hands and a pure heart,
who does not lift up his soul to what is false
and does not swear deceitfully.
5He will receive blessing from the Lord
and righteousness from the God of his salvation.
6Such is the generation of those who seek him,
who seek the face of the God of Jacob.b Selah

7Lift up your heads, O gates!
And be lifted up, O ancient doors,
that the King of glory may come in.
8Who is this King of glory?
The Lord, strong and mighty,
the Lord, mighty in battle!
9Lift up your heads, O gates!
And lift them up, O ancient doors,
that the King of glory may come in.
10Who is this King of glory?
The Lord of hosts,
he is the King of glory! Selah

Psalm 2  ESV

This same Jesus is returning the way He left:  in the air for all to see.  [Acts 1:11]

~Blessings,
