Revelation 20:4

[ The Saints Reign with Christ 1,000 Years ] And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was committed to them. Then I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands. And they lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.

 

Never in my lifetime have beheadings been in the daily news.  Never until now.  Why does the devil orchestrate this particular form of execution?  There are more efficient means of killing aren't there?  There are even more painful and terrifying ways to die. Why does the devil delight in this particular method? 

 

First of all it isn't happenstance.  The devil didn't wake up one morning and say to himself, "My that's a gruesome way to die.  I think I'll use it."  No!  He has a reason.  Everything he does is for a reason.

 

It is strategically symbollic.  CHRIST is the head!!!

 

1 Corinthians 11:3

But I want you to know that the head of every man is Christ, the head of woman is man, and the head of Christ isGod.

 

Ephesians 4:15

but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ—

 

Ephesians 5:23

For the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body.

 

This why the devil is orchestrating the beheadings.  It is as if the devil (lying) says "I can separate Jesus from the church body."  The devil is the author of all lies and this is a big one!  But we know the Bible promises that the beheaded believers receive a special reward in Heaven.
