                          VICTORY  OVER   SIN ?

      Show me someone who is victorious over sin, any sin, and I will show you

                          JESUS   and   NONE  OTHER !

       Even with the HOLY SPIRIT in our Hearts, we are still incapable
        of NOT SINNING!  It is the LOVE that JESUS and the FATHER
         have for us that HE should DIE FOR US because of our inability
         to NEVER SIN and be reconciled to GOD, for the smallest of any
          would disqualify us in the eyes of the FATHER.  WE DO NOT
           OVERCOME SIN!  HE KNOWS THIS so HE DID IT FOR US!

            Anyone who thinks they can OVERCOME SIN, even when they
             are INDWELT by the HOLY SPIRIT,  is PRIDEFUL and  FOOLING
             themselves.  Do you ever wonder why, even when you have the HS
             living in you, that you get "whacked"? You can bet that 9 out of 10
             times it will be because of PRIDE!  That, in a small way,  is for
             DENYING the WILL of that same HOLY SPIRIT you claim as
             Your Own !   HE  doesn't LEAVE YOU,  HE  just let's you know
              you made your OWN CHOICE and did not heed HIS DIRECTION
               in some matter in your life.  But, take heart!  HE  only does this
               to those HE LOVES!   This is a comfort through the pain of
               punishment.  This also serves to increase our heeding of the
               SPIRIT'S  direction in our lives and therefore brings us closer
                To HIM, even though the journey is sometimes rough, as HE
                 said it would be.  Those that think otherwise are confused about
                 the TRUE MEANING of WORKS.  Our efforts are that of
                 SUBMISSION to HIS WILL,  NOT of our failed attempts at
                 trying NOT to sin.   Remember this the next time you feel good
                 about yourself for some perceived defeat of sin you think you
                  have accomplished.  Remember also that HE said, "Why should
                 get credit for "doing right", even the heathen "do right"?(para)
                 "What is acceptable to ME is SUBMISSION and CONFESSION"
                  It is this submission and confession (daily) that gets your sins
                  FORGIVEN.  HE is NOT IMPRESSED that now that you are a
                  Believer you now feel, through an obligation to HIM that you
                  make a Great Effort not to sin as much as you did before you
                   came to CHRIST,  for even that is not of yourself but a gift
                   of "conscience" from the HOLY SPIRIT, so don't take credit
                   for it,  instead Praise and Thank HIM for it.

                    This concept is so hard to get across to people.  They are
                    offended by it when you bring it up to them.  We all want to
                    do something to pay HIM back and honor HIM and we think
                    we can do this in an earthly way like we would do for one another
                    and we resent being told HE doesn't find that as not sinning or
                    regard it as "good works".   Fortunately  HE does tell us what
                    is PLEASING To HIM and that is doing what the HOLY SPIRIT
                    tells is to do and to be KIND to each other.  THAT is what HE
                    wants!  THAT is what is PLEASING TO HIM!  If you need an
                     example of comparison, picture yourself in a "mud wrestling pit"
                     covered from head to toe with mud, then wiping a spot on your arm
                     and then pointing to the "clean" spot and claiming victory over a sin.
                     If you can understand this, the HOLY SPIRIT can better use you to:
