Ariel Sharon suffered a stroke back in
2006 and has been in a coma ever since. The stomach
surgery was routine and went well, but there have been
some surprising details that have emerged. Apparently in
January and over the last few years, there has been a
glimmer of hope that he would recover. He was recently
shown pictures of his family and a recording of his son
Gilad's voice was played. There was a definite reaction
but researchers couldn't determine how aware he was.
He looks at me and
moves fingers when I ask him to, Gilad said. I am
sure he hears me.
It would be an amazing story if he does
somehow recover.
