"Jericho III – Rapture Watch October 6-7, 2013"

I’ve spent the last week thinking and praying about the rapture timing after Rosh Hashanah 2013 came and went. All of a sudden the story of Jericho was on my mind like never before.I believe there may be a clue to the timing of the rapture in the story about how the wall of Jericho fell on the “long trumpet blast” on the seventh lap of the seventh day.

If Jericho symbolizes the earth and the clay bricks that circle the city symbolize the church, then the army of Israel would be the moon. For the moon circles the Earth and has long been associated with Israel even to the Jewish people in interpreting celestial events.

In my last letter, I theorized that since Rosh Hashanah has come and gone, but things in the world appear to be speeding along towards worldwide chaos, that maybe the rapture could still happen in 2013 because the 7th full moon hadn’t occurred yet in the Jewish year beginning after the Spring solstice. According to this timing, the seventh full moon will occur Sep 19th.

My focus shifted to the full moon because I had assumed that Rosh Hashanah had passed already. HOWEVER, WHAT IF IT HASN’T? I just watched Scottie Clark’s latest video on how one Jewish calendar shows that we are STILL IN THE SIXTH MONTH. I’m not going to get into the details, but check out this video which shows that perhaps the Feast of Trumpets is still a couple of weeks away. So 2013 may yet be the year.

I then was thinking about the Jericho story again. Israel was told to march around Jericho seven times on the seventh day and at the sound of the long trumpet blast to give a shout. If Israel and the moon are tied together, then there is a connection between the number seven, the moon, and the long trumpet blast during the last days.

After watching Scottie’s video, I counted the number of new moons that have occurred since the spring equinox, and there have only been six. The seventh is occurring somewhere around October 6/7. The Rosh Hoshanah that everyone celebrated on September 4-7 was only the sixth new moon of the year. This further supports the idea that it was celebrated a month early.

If that is true, an October rapture would fit the seven on seven pattern with the “long trumpet blast” occurring on the seventh new moon in the seventh month, Tishri.

I’m excited! I don’t have any trust in the world political powers to contain the chaos that appears to be headed our way in the very near future.  I believe that war will start in the Middle East within weeks, if not days, and this is going to be the impetus for a major peace deal between Israel and the Palestians. I believe that major terrorist attacks by sleeper cells within the United States will bring America to its knees, and when the US retreats from the world stage, Russia, China, India, Iran will all be unleashed.

But, if no rapture occurs by the seventh full moon (Oct 6/7), I don’t believe that it will happen until next year. I’m watching and waiting and using these last days to “fill my lamp with oil.” And even if the rapture didn’t happen for another 100 years I believe that we should look for the rapture each fall at this time. It is the same principle behind the Jews setting up a place at the table for Elijah each Passover and each year ending their seder with “Next year in Jerusalem!” This signifies their belief that the restoration of their nation and the temple are near, and they have never let their faith and longing desire die. We, the church, also have faith and a longing desire, only for the New Jerusalem.
